Last Call for Donations!
Deadline is today, November 10th

We are still accepting last minute donations for the Spotlight Gala!  Please complete the online donation form today, then send your item in with your student on Monday.

Not sure what to donate?  We would love a few more bottles of wine or a wine rack for our Live Auction Instant Wine Cellar, or restaurant gift certificates to downtown establishments, such as Dragonfish, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Canlis or El Gaucho.  Did you know that many of these restaurants will add to the certificate amount if they know it's for a charitable organization?

The Spotlight Gala is THE social event of the year for Ballard Performing Arts.  We have sold out the last two years because of the festive atmosphere, frenzied bidding, delicious food and drinks and amazing entertainment provided by our small student ensembles, which include Fiddle Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz I, Jazz II, Vocal Jazz and Thespians. You definitely want to treat yourself to a fun night out in support of BPA!  Get your tickets today!

For more information, please visit the Spotlight Gala website.

Wind Ensemble News
NYC Trip payment schedule and information review
  • The next payment of $500 is due Thursday, December 1st.
  • Final payment is due on Tuesday, January 3rd.
  • There was an email sent out to Band families on Tuesday, November 8th about the Wind Ensemble's online NYC fundraiser.  Didn't receive this email?  Have questions?  Please email Mr. James.
  • There has been much discussion about how to handle such a large group of parents who want to shadow the band in New York. We have decided to give parents an itinerary and if you want to do activities with the band you will need to plan to get your own tickets for activities. It is to difficult to schedule a large group of band students and include the large group of adults and family.
You will be able to order concert tickets in February for your group.
  • All parents and family members who will be traveling with the band please be aware that your student will need to remain with the band the entire scheduled time in New York. Students will not be allowed to be with their families during scheduled band activities. This means the entire trip. Thank you for your understanding.
