BCSC students celebrate straight A's and placement in the top six in the state for the third straight year!
BROWNSBURG SCHOOLS EARN STRAIGHT A'S AND ARE IN THE TOP SIX IN THE STATE FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR
Every Brownsburg elementary, middle school and Brownsburg High School earned an "A" from the Indiana State Board of Education.  This marks the third year in a row that Brownsburg Community School Corporation has been an ALL A DISTRICT.  In addition, Spring 2014 ISTEP scores placed BCSC students in the top 6 school corporations in the state for the third consecutive year.  CLICK HERE for more reasons to celebrate.

BCSC 8TH GRADE MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIRS PRESENT SOUTH PACIFIC
Brownsburg 8th grade middle school choirs present SOUTH PACIFIC this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm in the BEMS Cafetorium. Tickets are $8 for the Thursday show and $12 for Friday and Saturday night when hors d'oeuvres are served with the show. See you there!
BBOP MUSICAL BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
The Brownsburg Band and Orchestra Parents (BBOP) invite you to their annual Musical Breakfast with Santa - THIS SATURDAY, December 6th from 7am-11am at West Middle School.

BHS MADRIGAL DINNER - DECEMBER 9, 10, 11 AT 6PM IN THE BWMS CAF�

Join us for a Brownsburg holiday tradition - the BHS Madrigal dinner - December 9, 10 & 11.  The Madrigal Dinner is an evening of delicious food, entertainment and awe-inspiring music.  The meal is catered by Dawson's Sticks and Stones.  Tickets are $20 for dinner and entertainment and are available to the public now through December 8th (while they last.)  Tickets may be purchased in the BHS Fine Arts Office (Door 16) from 8:30am-1:30pm December 1st - 5th and 8th.  Cash or check only.  Don't wait...tickets sell out quickly! 
DECA DELIVERS LETTERS TO SANTA TO HELP MDA
The DECA students at BHS will help deliver your letter to the North Pole!  CLICK HERE to fill out the form and help them raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  (Deadline:  December 12)
BHS HISTORY CLUB DEDICATES VETERANS REMEMBRANCE MEMORIAL

The BHS History Club celebrated the dedication of the Veterans Remembrance Memorial in front of BHS on November 8th.  The monument started as a service learning project in BHS History teacher Dawn Crone's classes three years ago.  The BHS History Club took over the project and saw it through to the final installation.  If you haven't seen it yet, please drive by door 1 at BHS and take a look at this impressive symbol of appreciation!

BROWN ELEMENTARY 2ND GRADERS DELIVER ORNAMENTS TO RILEY

Mrs. Goodpaster's 2nd grade class at Brown Elementary practiced the BCSC November character trait of COMPASSION. A couple weekends ago they spent time together at a pottery shop making ornaments and then wrapped them up during art class for their delivery to the patients at Riley Hospital for Children. 
BHS FINE ARTS STUDENTS NAMED TO ALL-DISTRICT BAND

The Indiana Band Masters Association All-District Band is comprised of 100 students in grades 10-12.  This year, twelve Brownsburg High School students were selected for the group.  Congratulations to:  
Seniors:  Kaila Runyon, (piccolo/flute), Joel Klasa (clarinet), Jordon Hampton (baritone), Mariea Romie (alto sax), Ben Seiferman (trombone) 
Juniors:  Riley McCafferty (French Horn), Sidney Hostalet (French Horn), Jaclyn Flandermeyer (clarinet), Conor Nolan (trombone) 
Sophomores:  Avery Deaton (clarinet), Braeton Runyon (tuba), Adam Seiferman (trumpet).   
BROWNSBURG MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS PERFORM AS PART OF ALL-REGION BAND
Indiana Band Masters Association also names an All-Region Band for middle school students.  Thirteen students from BEMS and BWMS performed last month as part of this exceptional group:  Sam Parsey, Audrey Baughn, Josephine Bonczynski, Hannah Wanzer, Madison Brockelsby, Kyle Flandermeyer, Jonathan Miller, Misael Rodriguez, Hannah Hunziker, Bret Runyon, Jonathan Hagerman, Timothy Heidegger, and Jonathan Heidegger. 
WHITE LICK ELEMENTARY 5TH GRADE STUDENTS JOIN OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Students in Mrs. Sylva and Mrs. Pfahler's 5th grade class at White Lick completed their Operation Christmas Child shoebox project before Thanksgiving.  The students wrote persuasive letters to local businesses asking for support.  They also received donations of toys and other items from their families and White Lick staff.  These donations allowed them to pack 70 shoeboxes full of basic supplies and goodies to be shipped through Operation Christmas Child to kids in need around the world.  The boxes will be tracked via barcode on their journey so the class can see where they end up.
BHS STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF COLLECT FOOD
BHS CHAIN Link organized a food drive throughout the month of November.  Students and staff contributed over 1500 food items to the BCSC Food Pantry with the sophomore class bringing in the most donations. 
BROWNSBURG LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL DONATES FOOD FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Thank you to BHS students Morgan, Joey, and Rachel Graham and Brownsburg Little League Baseball. They recently delivered 40 turkeys as well as other supplies to the BCSC Food Pantry to serve Brownsburg students and their families in need. Visitors to the pantry can use door #7 at the ALPHA/Harris Academy building, 725 C South Green Street. The pantry is provided through a partnership with Gleaners and is open from 3:00pm-5:30pm on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of the month and is staffed by BCSC volunteers. BCSC ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RAISE ALMOST $9000 TO HELP BROWNSBURG FAMILIES
Thank you to all who donated to the coin drive at BCSC elementary and middle schools this month. A total of $8697.36 was collected to help Brownsburg families this holiday season.  Thanks also to Connection Pointe Christian Church for organizing this outreach effort, and for counting all the change!
CARDINAL ELEMENTARY HOSTS FAMILY ENGINEERING NIGHT
Over 60 families attended Cardinal Elementary's Family Engineering Night last month.  The event is in its second year and is sponsored by the Cardinal Elementary Parent Support Group with much help from parents, BHS Robotics Club, BHS Key Club, and Cardinal Elementary teachers.

The BEF Rally For Our Kids Gala is Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Don Schumacher Racing Headquarters.  ALL are welcome!   Individual reservations are available beginning January 1, 2015 for $70 each.  Tickets can be purchased on the BEF website or by calling the BEF office at 317.852.1056.  Come dressed in your Jerseys and Jewels as we Rally for the Kids at the Fourth Annual Gala!
