NEXT STEPS OF YOUR STUDENT'S EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY
|
Brownsburg teachers and staff work every day to make sure your student is having a positive experience in school, and we know you are mindful of your student's current and future educational journey. Join us as Brownsburg Community School Corporation Assistant Superintendent Kat Jessup and Brownsburg High School Principal Bret Daghe share information about the many opportunities your student will be able to experience as they move forward from elementary to middle school to high school. Mrs. Jessup and Mr. Daghe will cover a variety of topics including: the different diploma types offered, Advanced Placement classes, Dual College Credit, Area 31 technical offerings, secondary math progression, fine arts, club opportunities, job training for life skills students, and more. We hope you can make it for this discussion to help prepare your family for what's next. You are welcome to attend any of the following sessions as they will be identical. Meetings at the middle schools were held in early December, but parents who missed those sessions are welcome to attend any of the remaining sessions.

GREAT COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR THE BCSC FOOD AND CLOTHING PANTRY
|
The Brownsburg Community School Corporation opened a food pantry in the fall of 2014 to help serve school families while creating a work opportunity for life skills students in the Collaborators for Success Program at Brownsburg High School. In early 2015, the program added a clothing pantry. The pantry serves Brownsburg School families in need on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday of every month from 3:00 - 5:30 pm and is located at Harris Academy, 725 South Green Street at Door #7. The operation is run by volunteers from the school district in conjunction with Gleaners Food Bank. As the need has grown in the community, more and more families are utilizing the services the pantry offers. We are so grateful to these groups who recently donated either food, supplies or money to the pantry:
Good Samaritan Episcopal Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Jamie Walsh family church small group (Connection Pointe Families), Brownsburg Little League, Kids Count LLC, Church on the Rock, Brownsburg Lions Club
