FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE COMMUNITY MEETING - THURSDAY AT 6:30 P.M.
Last night nearly 150 parents, alumni, and community members attended the first Foundation for the Future presentation of 2015. A reminder: we will be hosting a repeat of the presentation Thursday night at 6:30 P.M. in the BHS auditorium.
To address overcrowding and aging schools, we will be proposing renovations at Brownsburg High School. An additional elementary school would also be built to relieve overcrowding. The purpose of the meeting is to present the challenges faced by our growing school community and talk about proposed solutions and the impact a possible referendum would have on Brownsburg residents. We hope you can join us.

SHOP WITH A BULLDOG TRADITION CONTINUES
CHAIN Link student government at BHS, BEMS, & BWMS (pictured above) joined together in early December for a holiday tradition: Shop with a Bulldog. The event is completely organized by students and they procured nearly $5000 in donations. With these donations, they give some students in need $100 each to finish their holiday shopping and then accompany them on the trip to Wal-Mart. They return to BHS to wrap the presents and enjoy lunch and play games together.

WHITE LICK STUDENTS THANK BROWNSBURG FIRST RESPONDERS
The White Lick Elementary Go Green Club made ornaments out of recycled materials before break they took and after school visit to deliver them and show appreciation to Brownsburg's first responders. After a stop at the Brownsburg Police Department, these 4th and 5th graders walked to the Fire Department where they decorated trees with the ornaments and received an amazing tour from the firefighters.

REAGAN AND BROWN ELEMENTARY WELCOME AUTHOR
Through the efforts of Media Specialist Lisa Johnson and a grant from the Brownsburg Education Foundation, students at Brown and Regan Elementary enjoyed a visit from children's author Troy Cummings last month. It was clear that the students enjoy his The Notebook of Doom series and the teachers appreciated that he shared his experiences in writing related to the 6+1 writing traits that they learn in their own classrooms.
