PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION UNDERWAY ONLINE NOW

Kindergarten Registration is now available online.  Kindergarten in Brownsburg is a full day program.  In order to register for kindergarten, students need to turn 5 years old by August 1, 2014.  We ask all parents of incoming kindergarten students to register as soon as possible.  This allows us time to meet students, provide building tours, and to staff accordingly.

The Brownsburg Early Childhood Center is also available on online.  The BECC provides high quality early childhood programming for children ages 3-5.  A half day preschool program is offered for two, three, or five days a week.  The BECC also offers a full day child care program, which includes a half day of preschool.

New student registration for the 2014-2015 school year is now available online.   CLICK HERE to enroll.

FIT & HEALTHY WITH IU HEALTH WEST HOSPITAL
The BCSC partnership with Indiana University Health goes far beyond athletic training and building sponsorships.  IU Health and Methodist Sports Medicine will be sharing helpful information in our Spotlight Newsletter each month.

7 Ways to Supercharge Your Inner Athlete
How often do we start the year with the best exercise intentions?  From taking that kettle bell class to racing in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon, the road to fitness resolutions is paved with visions of our inner athlete. But mounds of snow, long work hours, kids' music lessons and finally getting the dog to the vet turn our smooth route to wellness into an obstacle course worthy of the TV show Wipe Out.

A lot of us set a goal to start running around the first of the year.  Remember those resolutions we swore we'd stick to?  Whether your resolution was to start running or just to move the clothes off the treadmill in the basement, all is not lost if you've stumbled a bit off the starting blocks.

CLICK HERE for a few tips to get your fitness plan back on track and stay the course for the long run.
STRENGTH IN ATHLETES WITH IU HEALTH AND METHODIST SPORTS MEDICINE
The March Toward Spring Events
Dale S. Snead, M.D., Methodist Sports Medicine

If you or your student wants to participate in a sport next year at the middle or high school level, an updated Pre-Participation Physical Exam (PPE) from a physician is required. IU Health and Methodist Sports Medicine professionals perform PPEs at area schools during the months of April and May. PPEs for Brownsburg High School are scheduled for Wednesday April 23rd at 6:30pm.  Check with your athletic department or coach to confirm the PPE date for your school.

The PPE form is located on the Indiana High School Athletic Association website, (click on "Related Topics") or provided at your primary care physician's office. Your school administrators can also help you obtain the correct form. Sports physicals are valid for one year (365 days) and cannot expire at anytime during the sport your child is involved. If a student receives a PPE during the summer, it is valid for the duration of the upcoming school year.

CLICK HERE to learn more about a unique opportunity to evaluate your student's heart health, and an event that will do your heart good: The Brady Sports Achievement Awards.
Brownsburg Community School Corporation will provide, within a secure environment, an engaging, relevant educational program with academic opportunities for all students to pursue their maximum intellectual potential.  Social and physical opportunities will also be provided to students to encourage them to become well-rounded individuals.  Reaching maximum achievement will prepare students to live productively and responsibly in a technical, global society.
