KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR 2017-2018
Online registration is now open f
or NEW students for the 2017-2018 school year. Current students who will be returning do not need to register online. This is for incoming Kindergarten and Preschool students and anyone who will be new to Brownsburg Schools in the upcoming school year.

BHS CONSTRUCTION NEWS
Parents in grades 6-12 are now receiving regular updates about the renovation and expansion project at Brownsburg High School. These updates will provide important information as this project moves forward. Phase 1B is now underway and will provide a new heating, cooling, and electrical facility in the area around the current BHS cafeteria. Anyone can sign up for these quarterly updates with the next one set for late April/early May -

LINCOLN ELEMENTARY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction on Lincoln Elementary is underway on the land south of Reagan Elementary. This new elementary will be connected to Reagan and is set to open in July of 2018.

BWMS students ( l to r) Will Clayton, Kate Lynch, Marek Bayless, and Precious Olatunde competed in the 2017 You Be The Chemist Challenge at Dow AgroSciences. All four students did well demonstrating their chemistry knowledge in the preliminary rounds. Will and Precious went on to the semifinal rounds and qualified for the state competition at the end of April. |

In the magical world of Nocturno, all the things we see by day are made by the people who live there at night while the rest of the world sleeps. When young Iris' past coat is taken from her and her memories are stolen, she must go on a journey to reclaim her past and discover herself. Through a series of encounters with new friends from different times and different worlds, "Still Life with Iris" chronicles Iris' quest to regain her memory and with it her home. Don't miss this fun, fantasy adventure for children of all ages!
General admission tickets will be on sale beginning April 17th in the BHS Performing Arts Office and also available at the door.

Brownsburg Schools are again participating in Brownsburg's Relay For Life on May 20th at Town Hall. Fundraising for school teams is underway across the district. BHS broadcasting students participated in the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters annual conference and were honored as the Best Live Telecast! This group representing the BHS broadcasting class and Extended Play Club also claimed second place in news magazine for Inside BCSC and 3rd place in video for BHS In-Depth. The National Honor Society at Brownsburg High School welcomed 102 new members at its annual induction ceremony. NHS has rigorous requirements that all students must meet to be inducted. To be considered, students must have at least a 3.8 GPA and excel in the areas of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

BHS STUDENT RECOGNIZED FOR ART EXCELLENCE

Brownsburg High School senior Jesse Lindenfeld has received a Silver Medal at the National level of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his drawing titled "Desperation of Surroundings" (pictured above). All Gold Key winners from the regional level are sent to New York to be adjudicated a second time against Gold Key winners from across the country. It's exciting to see Jesse's work recognized at the National level. |

Thank you to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for visiting 4th graders at Reagan, Cardinal, and White Lick with their Mobile Education Program. The program rotates their visits to our schools annually to teach students about the history, economics, and science of racing. |
