"Every Christian is a missionary to the extent that he or she has encountered the love of God in Christ Jesus: we no longer say that we are 'disciples' and 'missionaries,' but rather that we are always the 'missionary disciples'... So, what are we waiting for?"  --Pope Francis, Joy of the Gospel

Dear  ,

The rising temperatures in Birmingham can only mean that summer is almost here-and that includes our annual EWTN Family Celebration! We are excited about this year's event because the theme is especially relevant to us as EWTN Media Missionaries: "Joy of the Gospel!"

Our celebration begins on Saturday, August 16, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center (BJCC) in Birmingham, AL, and will continue through Sunday, August 17. During this time, you'll be able to meet some of your favorite speakers and hosts, and attend talks by Fr. Robert Barron (Catholicism: The New Evangelization), Fr. Larry Richards (Be a Man! Becoming the Man God Wants You to Be), & Fr. Timothy Gallagher (Finding God in All Things). You're also invited to be a member of our studio audience for a special presentation of "EWTN LIVE," hosted by Fr. Mitch Pacwa! For more information, visit www.ewtn.com/familycelebration .

Special Holy Hour: Before the conference gets underway, we'd also like to personally invite all Media Missionaries to join us for a special Holy Hour at 7 p.m. CT on August 15! Look for more details coming soon in our printed quarterly newsletter!
