$8 Million in Capital Credits Returning to Members This Month

UEC's Board of Directors voted to return $8 million in Capital Credits this month. Checks will be mailed in mid-December to members who purchased energy in 2010, 2015 and 2016. As a not-for-profit, member-owned company, UEC operates at cost, with net revenues (called margins) returned to members in the form of Capital Credits.

Each year, UEC awards up to $50,000 to deserving students. The UEC scholarship program is split into three categories: Academic, Engineering and Lineman Trade. The program is available for members and/or applicants whose parent or guardian is an active member of UEC.

Holiday Office Closures

Umatilla Electric offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas and on New Year's Day, Monday, Jan. 1.
