Annual Earth Day Clean Up Day Fordham Road & Creston Avenue: Fri. 4/2010AM-12PM To kick off Earth Day weekend, on Friday April 20th, students from a local childcare center will help the sanitation crew of the Fordham Road BID to help keep the district clean. The event teaches the students about the importance of protecting the environment and is a lead in to our Fordham Go Green Walk on May 5th.
Fordham Go Green Walk Saturday May 5th, 11AM Join the Fordham Road BID to promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. The walk will start at the corner of E Fordham Rd. and Creston/190th and will walk west on 190th st. It will then turn south on Jerome Ave. to E Fordham Rd. where it will turn east on E Fordham Rd. until it reaches Kingsbridge Ave. It will go north on Kingsbridge to Poe Park where it will conclude in a health fair with live music, free activities and prizes. Bronx Week Thursday May 10th - Sunday May 20th Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.and The Bronx Tourism Council announce an 11 day celebration highlighting the Best of the Bronx in the Arts, Health, Youth, and much more!
