Book Exchange

Cobb's longest continually operating Indie Book Store!

 Spring 2014
Upcoming Schedule of Events
Hey, Friends and Neighbors!

I know the calendar says it's "officially" Spring, but tell me, will it ever really arrive? Winter sure wants to hang on for dear life. I keep waiting for those mild days when I can sit out on my glider with a good book in my hands and look out into the backyard to feast on the colorful beauty of all the trees and bushes that have blossomed to life. Soon. Soon, I keep telling myself. Luckily we have new book releases and special events on the horizon while we wait for our beloved Spring. Gathering together, sharing good times and laughs with some of our favorite Author friends is something to which we can all look forward!

As we enter this 39th year in our community, we want to thank you for continuing to shop local. I recently read an article by Melissa Mead in The New Yorker in which she writes about Indie Book Stores and their value to the community; "... because we feel a duty to support them, because we believe in their mission. When books can be bought so cheaply online, or at one of the dwindling number of discount retailers, paying more to shop at a local bookstore feels virtuous, like buying locally sourced organic vegetables, or checking to see if a T-shirt is made in the U.S.A. It can be gratifying.." We hope you feel the same about Book Exchange.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
