April Holiday Hours
Both library locations will be closed on Sunday, April 1, 2018 for the Easter holiday, and on Monday, April 16 for Patriots' Day.

The main library will open at 1 PM on Friday, May 4 due to staff training. The library's hours that day will be 1 - 5 PM.

2018 Spring Book Sale

Stock up on your warm weather reading at our annual Friends of the Beverly Public Library Spring Book Sale! There'll be two rooms full of hardcover and paperback fiction and nonfiction for all ages, categorized for easy browsing. Hardcovers $2, paperbacks $1, and kids books are 2 for $1. A small selection of music and movies will also be available. Open to the public during regular library hours.

Can You Help Us Stop Hunger?
"Stop Hunger Now" Food Drive

Did you know that in Massachusetts, 1 in 7 children struggle with hunger? We're partnering with the Endicott College Community Service Office to combat hunger with a food drive from April 15 through 21. Bring unexpired canned goods to the main library and we'll deliver them to Beverly Bootstraps and River House at the conclusion of the drive. Questions? Spring Book Crafts
Thursday, May 17 from 6 - 8 PM

Break out the scissors and the hot glue guns! Let’s take some old books and make them into something new. We'll create paper bouquets and cards out of re-purposed books. 22nd Annual Teen Poetry Contest Ceremony

The library’s highly competitive Teen Poetry Contest received 569 entries this year! Join us for this ceremony where selected teen finalists will read their poems aloud, winners will be announced, and prizes awarded. A reception with refreshments will follow. Contest participants, finalists and their families, teachers, parents, and all others are welcome! Registration not required.

Art Show: "Reflections" by Rob Franco
April 4 – 28
Artist Rob Franco displays his oil paintings of boats, birds and wild Assateague Island ponies. Join Rob on Tuesday, April 17 from 7 - 8 PM for a National Park Service video highlighting the wild ponies that have been on Assateague Island for over 300 years, along with a "Show and Tell" of objects from beach combing in Delaware and Maryland - including 17th century shipwreck items!
