April 2016

It's finally spring! We're celebrating the kitten season by offering FREE feral cat surgeries through April. Visit the Pets Alive "Pet Island" at the Homeward Bound Walk next weekend, and check out our impact in the 2015 Annual Report. Please enjoy this issue!

Melissa Inman, Executive Director
Pets Alive Nonprofit Spay/Neuter Clinic
2015 Annual Report
10 years, 100,000 surgeries, and counting!

Looking back on our accomplishments in 2015, it's clear that Pets Alive is making a powerful impact on our community. In the past 10 years,  we have lowered the euthanasia rate by 60%  in south central Indiana and performed over 100,000 spay/neuter surgeries - all while putting nearly 90% of our revenue directly back into program services. None of this could be possible without the loyal support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our work in 2015!

Homeward Bound Walk
12-4pm Sunday, April 10 @ Third Street Park
Help Pets Alive run the Pet Island at this year's Homeward Bound Walk! We will have a covered booth with chairs, water for dogs, and the Bloomington Animal Shelter will even have dogs at our booth up for adoption! This is a great opportunity to help get our name out in the community. If you are participating in the walk, please stop by and see our friendly faces!  Email  Megan Reece  to volunteer with us .

Community Cats in April
Feral Cats Get Fixed for Free in April Only

During the month of April, Pets Alive will offer FREE spay and neuter surgeries, plus free rabies vaccinations and eat tips, to feral and outdoor cats as part of our "Community Cat" campaign thanks to funding from PetSmart Charities.

This special free rate is available to everyone regardless of location or financial position. Transport partners are available for those outside of Monroe County. Please visit our website to find a transport partner in your county. We expect to perform over 800 cat surgeries this month, so please call (812) 349-1349 to schedule an appointment.
