A Note From Your CHAHRM President

This year's Spring Conference in Manitou Springs was hands down one of my favorites! The Cliff House was as comfortable as usual, we had extraordinary weather, great attendance, and amazing speakers! In addition, I would like to acknowledge our Business Partners, WageWatch and Alexander Benefits, whose sponsorships contributed to our success.
The Executive Committee wrapped up last year with a review of our accomplishments, which were printed in our Winter Newsletter, we updated our Bylaws and other operational documents, and voted on some new assignments for several of our existing team members. Michelle Pollart has assumed the Survey Coordinator duties and Barb Lutz is now the Chapter's Secretary and Online Services Coordinator. Barb is also serving on ASHHRA's Board of Directors. We recruited in a new Communications Director, Lindsay Meredith, HR Business Partner from San Luis Valley Health, and Tanya Rippeth, Director of Human Resources at Vail Valley Medical Center, is now our President-Elect and will take over as President in 2018.

Additional team members include Greg Thress, Treasurer, Brenda Greicar overseeing Career Strategies, Pamela Drake and Gini Adams continue to co-manage Planning & Programs, Vickie Moore is our Membership Director, Sharon Greenman manages the recruitment and relationships with our Business Partners, and Jayme McGraw continues to serve on the team.

As President of CHAHRM, I am extremely fortunate to have such an amazing team selflessly volunteering their time and supporting me in my effort to jazz things up and continue to deliver high quality conferences and services to our members.

As an affiliate of ASHHRA and in our pursuit to achieve the 4-star Chapter Award, an accolade we have celebrated for 16 consecutive years, our Chapter has established the following performance goals for this year:

I know I can confidently speak on behalf of the team when I say we are looking forward to this year and some changes we have planned for 2018. Thank you for your membership and ongoing support of CHAHRM. Please don't hesitate to contact me or any member of our team with any questions or suggestion you may have for us. Hope to see you in Breckenridge!

Presentations From The Conference
This year's Spring Conference was complete with dynamic, energetic presenters who delivered knowledgeable information on engaging topics. If you missed the conference, don't worry!  Members who attended the conference submitted articles reviewing the content of each speaker.  Handouts and presentations from the conference can be found on our website.
At the Spring Conference, CHAHRM members donated toiletry items that were given to the Gathering Place in Denver.  Thank you for donating!
All pictures from the conference are available on our Facebook page

Many thanks to our Business Partners for Sponsoring our Spring Event!

Surveys & Scholarship Information

An attractive benefit of CHAHRM membership is utilization and access of surveys. Through this process, members can make inquiries to their HR colleagues about day-to-day issues, policies and procedures, and management challenges to solicit feedback and information on a particular topic.  Send an email to [email protected].

The CHAHRM association is a strong advocate for continued education and growth in both  Human Resources and the Medical field. To support further education in both, CHAHRM awards $1,000.00 in scholarship monies to be applied to an HR certification and an Allied Health program. Applications will be accepted between May 15 and September 15, 2017. For more information, please contact Michelle Pollart  at 719-336-7119 or email [email protected] .
