April 2, 2013

Greetings!

"Life is really simple
but we insist on making it complicated."
~ Confucius ~

Last Thursday, I presented a three-hour "CRAVE Your Goals!" workshop for corporate executives and entrepreneurs. Kennesaw State University's Executive MBA program sponsored it for their students, alumni and the business community.

CRAVE

I explained how to cultivate that attitude of gratitude, craft positive affirmations to increase confidence, and create a vision board to communicate their aspirations to their powerful subconscious mind.

I also reminded them of the dangers of physical, technical and emotional clutter. When you clear that distracting and confusing clutter, you can focus on what matters most. I asked them to think of all the opportunities they've missed because clutter got in the way.

Cleaning out the clutter resonated with attendee Bill Orser and he didn't waste any time. The next morning, I received this email from him.

Thanks so much for all the great information from your seminar yesterday at KSU. Since the markets are closed I decided to DIG into your material.  It is now 8:10 am and I have cleared over 3,500 saved e-mails, unsubscribed from nearly three dozen lists and cleaned out my closet (3 full garbage bags to Goodwill).  Now it is on to my desk.

Wow! It's spring cleaning time. Where does clutter get in yourSpring Cleaning way? Is it a messy office or a closet where many of your clothes no longer fit your size or lifestyle? Is it too many enewsletters you never read or spending too much time on social media sites? Or is it the unnecessary obligations or toxic people that bring you down? When you clean out the clutter, you have the energy and clarity to enjoy more success at work and in life.

Where will you start your spring cleaning?
