Domestic Violence 101 Training
DV101 introduces new domestic violence advocates and others from the community to the basics of serving and working with victims and survivors of domestic violence. It provides an overall understanding of domestic violence and teaches effective advocacy skills that support safety and empowerment.

This two-day training features information on domestic violence history, prevalence, dynamics, prevention, advocacy, intervention, resources, and legal remedies.
Location:
Hilton Garden Inn, 1706 North Dupont Highway, Dover
(Behind the Exxon/Wendy's on Rt. 13 near the North Dover Rt. 1 exit, and when turning into the access road to the hotel, it is between Bob Evans and the Exxon/Wendy's.)

Schedule (both days):
8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Registration/Sign-in
9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Workshop with Breaks (including an hour and a half break for lunch*)

*New federal funding restrictions no longer allow us to provide lunch at DV101 as we have in the past. There are restaurants nearby where you may purchase lunch on your own or you may bring a packed lunch. (Note: There is no access to a fridge)
Registration Fees:
$10 per day ($20 both days) - Delaware Certified DV Specialists, DCADV Member Organizations, and Current DCADV Supporting Members
 
$15 per day ($30 both days) - Nonmembers
