Four Upcoming Shows This Spring

SOMA ARTISTS STUDIOS: SPRING ART SCENE

I've taken on a second studio to glean creative inspiration from! SOMA ARTISTS STUDIOS is a dynamic workspace for artists of many disciplines. And, in addition to being a 24/7 workspace for the artists-in-residence, the studio hosts several public events throughout the year.

The first public event of the year is the Spring Art Scene (not to be confused with the SOMANIA Open Studios), offering a glimpse into the artists' creative workspace.  During this weekend-long event, a silent auction will be held to benefit the local nonprofit organization, Visual Aid.

Visual Aid encourages artists with life-threatening illnesses to continue their creative work and presents exhibitions of contemporary art throughout the Bay Area.

 ART SPAN: BENEFIT ART AUCTION

The nonprofit organization, ArtSpan, connects the public to visual arts in San Francisco, and April 13th marks their largest fundraiser of the year.

During this year's Benefit Art Auction, you can bid on hundreds of original works by Bay Area artists in juried, live, and silent auctions, including my piece SPINNING (above).  The auction for this piece will start at 1/3 of the asking price.

All proceeds will benefit ArtSpan's mission to fund year-round educational programs for working artists, under-served youth, and the public.
