It's official: Roberson's Annual Wine & Food Fest has sold out for the FIFTH consecutive year!  The support for this fundraiser has been absolutely outstanding.  Over 700 guests will enjoy tastings from our area's best as we celebrate a true rite of spring. 


The sold out success of the Wine & Food Fest is just part of the growing excitement at Roberson.  Explore this edition of Confluence for a glimpse of what we have planned, and be sure to take part in the fun.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join us Saturday, April 4 for a hopping good time at Roberson's Annual Easter Egg Hunt! 
We'll be featuring science activities and various springtime and Easter crafts from 12:30 - 4:30pm.  
The Easter Egg Hunts will be held at 1 and 2:30
There will also be story-time with Mother Goose at 3.  
Activities are included with general museum admission.

Roberson is very excited to bring a traveling international exhibit to our region.  We are the host site for "Reshuffling the Past: 2015 Contemporary Chinese Ink Art Exhibition."  

FIRST FRIDAY OPENING RECEPTION
Friday, April 3
$4 admission from 5-9pm
Enjoy the works of eight artists showcased in the exhibition.  Light refreshments will be served.

We will also be featuring Traditional Chinese Astronomy presentations in our Digital Planetarium.  
The exhibition is made possible thanks to a partnership between Roberson and the Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera at Binghamton University.

2015 Summer Camps
We're thrilled to announce Roberson's 2015 Summer Camps.  There are exciting week-long camps featuring themes for an assortment of grade levels.  Registration is required for camp participation.

Camps are offered each week from June 29 to September 4, and run from 9am-3pm daily.  

Reminder -- Roberson Members save 20% on camp tuition.  

Each Camp Tuition is $172 for members, $215 for non-members.  All materials included.

ATTENTION ARTISTS:  Roberson Museum and Science Center is accepting entries for the 2015 Roberson Regional Art Exhibition.  Artists residing within 150 miles of Binghamton are invited to enter works.

Roberson's Regional Art Exhibition is a juried exhibition. Works accepted into the exhibition will be selected by an outside Juror.  An opening reception and awards ceremony for artists and Roberson Members will be held on Sunday, July 12.  First, Second, and Third place cash awards will be chosen from the exhibition. 

Congressional Art Exhibition at Roberson

This year celebrates the 33rd annual Congressional Art Competition, 

An Artistic Discovery.  

The top six winners from each county in the NY-22 Congressional District will move on to the district-wide competition which will be on view at Roberson April 15-19. 

 The Awards Ceremony will be held on April 18, 2015 at 11 a.m.

 

 

The first place winner selected from the show at Roberson will have their entry displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year.  It is an excellent opportunity for local young artists to be recognized for their talent, creativity and vision at the national level.
