URGENT REQUESTS FOR VOLUNTEERS

Equipment Program Volunteers

Due to health and work reasons we have lost our volunteers who service our equipment program so we are desperately looking for several people who would be willing to pick up donated equipment as well as deliver equipment to our clients who need it.

Criteria: good physical mobility and strength, a vehicle that has a trailer hitch or a pickup truck. We will pay mileage.

Board Members

Have you ever thought that you might like to serve on a Board of Directors? This might be your opportunity. Our AGM is coming up in April 10th and we are looking for several Board Members to replace retiring ones. This a working Board, Everyone has jobs to do other than attending Board meetings.

Display Table Volunteers

As you can see from all the activities that are listed in the coming events column we need a lot of volunteers to man the tables and share the information with the public. A number will need to be trained to do the Try on a Disability exercises. The more people we have the easier it is to schedule.

Wheelchair Obstacle Course Volunteers

We need people to put the obstacle course together before an event and to take it apart after the event over the next couple of months. We are scheduled for three appearances this year so far and if we had a team of people we would like to start to take it to the schools to educate the students. Then we need people at the event to be spotters as people go through the course obviously for safety reasons.

If you are interested in any of these Volunteer Positions please contact Zosia at 604 961-0117 or email zosia@pos-abilities.org . or click on the link in the column beside this one.
