Countdown to the 6th Hooley on Kamm's Corners™ Saturday, May 9

In less than 40 days, West Park's annual homecoming celebration takes place, featuring great food, live music, children's shows and activities, Irish dancers, pipes and drums, fine art, and more! From noon till 8 p.m. Lorain Avenue will be closed for the festival between Rocky River Drive and West 165th Street. Show up to eat, drink, mingle, and enjoy! Thanks to our sponsors, the event is free of charge.
Purchase unique goods and pick up interesting information from the many booths lining each side of Lorain Avenue. New this year, Cleveland Bazaar will host a juried handmade arts and crafts show on West 168th Street.
The main stage at Rocky River Drive faces east and features a mix of Celtic music and rock-n-roll. The Pipes and Drums of the Cleveland Police will help with opening ceremonies, and the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums will perform, too.
The family stage at West 165th Street will entertain the younger crowd with Irish dancers and musical performances by local schools.

Kamm's Corners Farmers Market Gears Up for the Coming Season

Opening on Sunday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. our award-winning market is entering its ninth season! To continue our success, we are seeking a Marketing Contractor for the coming outdoor market season. The successful contractor will be responsible for developing and implementing new marketing strategies and outreach efforts as well as continuing and enhancing existing marketing efforts with a main goal of increasing attendance of customers and vendors. West Park Joins GardenWalk Cleveland in July

Are you particularly proud of your garden to the point of wanting to show it off to others?

GardenWalk Cleveland is a free, self-guided tour of more than 200 private gardens, farms, vineyards, and orchards in neighborhoods throughout Cleveland. Last year, over 1,000 people toured the gardens all over the city.

Community Spelling Bee Takes Place Saturday

Are you an excellent speller? Time to show off your skills by joining the fun on Saturday afternoon, April 4, as adults compete in a spelling bee at West Park Station, 17015 Lorain Avenue. Solos, pairs, and trios are welcome. No devices, internet, or spell check. No fee to enter, either.

Ask your friends to cheer you on! The first prize is $100 cash and the second prize is a $50 gift certificate to West Park Station. To enter, email threeroadsgames@gmail.com. Or get to West Park Station by 12:30 p.m. The spelling bee starts promptly at 1:05 p.m.

There will be one round of immunity to those who compete dressed up like a bee! Audience approval of the costume is required. For more information, please call Julie at 216-287-3203.

Run Puritas Race Registration Opens

Our friends at Bellaire-Puritas Development Corporation (BPDC) invite runners, children, parents with kids in strollers, and folks with leashed pets to join the 3rd Annual Run Puritas 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. The event takes place on Saturday, May 2, and features a new route leaving from Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on West 140th at Puritas Avenue. The 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 1-Mile Run/Walk starts at 8:35 a.m. Pre-race and race day details along with award categories are available here.

Pre-registration is $20, plus $2.50 if signing up online here. Get a group of 10+ together with mail-in pre-registration and receive special team recognition and a $5 discount on each entry. All proceeds help to fund BPDC's West Park community programs.

A neighborhood meeting was held on March 19, at St. Patrick Catholic Church regarding the Rocky River Drive Master Plan, which addresses improvements needed on Rocky River Drive from Lorain Avenue to Brookpark Road.
