Spring Cleaning

It's that time again. Spring Lake Township has some resources to help you with your spring cleanup.

Dumpster Day - May 20, 8am to noon for Township and Village residents only
Burn Day - May 20, all day. A permit is required

In addition, we provide a space for medication dropoff at the Fire Station, 106 N. Fruitport Road. Remove your pills from the bottle and put them in a plastic bag. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department will handle the disposal.
Area Activities

There are several activities coming up in the next few weeks.

Homebuyer Education Sessions presented by MSHDA - May 9 and 23, Neighborhood Housing Services, Grand Haven

Dancing into the Sunset - May 10, 7pm, Pomona Park, Fruitport

Safety Reminder

We have heard reports of people in West Michigan impersonating utility or public works employees to gain entry into people's homes. We would like to remind everyone that our public works employees will be wearing Spring Lake Township shirts and will be carrying identification. They will also be driving blue trucks with the Township logo on the door.

If you have any questions about someone at your door, our employees will be happy to wait while you call the Township to verify their identity. We have also posted pictures of our DPW workers on the website if you prefer to verify their identity that way.

Honor Rewards for Veterans

The Ottawa County Clerk's Office is offering Honor Rewards, which allow Ottawa County veterans to sign up to receive an ID card which can be used to receive discounts and benefits at nearly 100 local participating businesses. It's a tangible way to say "thank you" to local veterans for their service.
