Happy Spring!


The mulch is in, the daffodils and forsythia are in full bloom, the robins are a flutter and Spring has finally sprung! The shop is bursting with happy and bright new fabric groups, books and patterns. Our Classes are blossoming too and many are filling quickly! Be sure to check the website frequently for updated class information.
Even if the weathermen are not on the same page as us, WE think it's Spring!

Here are a few photographs of the new fabric groups that have arrived recently. The pictures don't do them justice - stop by and see for yourself!
"Pepper Flax" by Corey Yoder from Moda includes yellows, greys and a little bit of green. We have yardage and precuts! These fabrics look great in the Atkinson Designs Lucky Stars pattern!
Check out the Poolside Tote Class. Diane L completed the tote using"Sea Glass" by Nancy Rink from Marcus Bros. Shades of aqua, sea mist and azure make up this stunning line of fabrics!
“Lakeside Fun” By Masha D'yans for Clothworks Fabric includes cool toned fabric feauturing frogs, turtles, dragonflies and blenders. We have yardage and precuts! 
Whimsical "Flourish" by Mia Whittemore for Windham Fabrics...we love the vibrant Spring colors! 
"Monday, Monday" by Jill Finley for Riley Blake designs, is just simply a sweet collection in pleasing colors.
"Shimmer Oasis" by Northcott showcases Tropical Fish, Radiant Starfish, King Crabs, Scattered Starfish and more in bright tropical colors with shiny metallic highlights.
Vibrant colors and beautiful floral prints are found in "Fresh Picked" by Sue Zipkin for Clothworks. Kits are available using the "Building Blocks" pattern.
"Dino Mite" in gender neutral colors and sweet dinosaurs prints by QT is new in the Children's section.
Perfect for spring the "Confetti Blossoms" line by QT showcases soft springtime colors and butterflies!
"Dear Mum" from Robin Pickens for Moda in gorgeous sunny colors and Chrysanthemums!
We carry a selection of "Grunge" and "Grunge hits the spot" fabric from Moda. Kits are available for "Movie Star" completed using this wonderful line of fabrics.

Domestic Violence Project

Please join us in supporting the Domestic Violence Project by donating NEW women's and children's underwear (in packaging), diapers, laundry detergent, nightwear,(especially women's nightgowns), socks, and toiletries. 

We will also accept craft supplies and children's DVDs -which don't have to be new.
This is an ongoing program that supports our local domestic violence shelters.

Consider donating during our 10th Anniversary party (6/15 and 6/16).

The quilt-as-you-go-technique (QAYG) is an easy way to join quilted pieces by machine. Lenny will teach a QAYG method that allows you to quilt your project as you piece it.

Learn a great technique to take your free motion quilting to the next level by adding ruler work. Learn how to use long arm rulers... whether on a long arm machine or a domestic machine (requires free motion ruler foot.) Learn the steps to get perfect designs and precision that comes with using rulers and then learn different techniques to make those designs stand out!

Overcome the fear of cutting and piecing ovals! In this class, Barbara will demonstrate how to use the new Creative Grids- Ovals All Ways ruler designed by Karla Alexander. The Ovals All Ways Ruler is designed to cut quarter, half and full oval shapes in a variety of sizes. Barbara will guide you in creating a stunning quilt using one of Karla Alexander's patterns - Blue Onion (shown in picture), Spin Cycle or Trading Places.
