 Greetings from Orphanage Emmanuel!

We hope you had a wonderful, Spirit-filled Easter. May the Lord continue to bless you for your kindness. On behalf of all the children, staff, and volunteers, we sincerely thank you for your time, gifts, and prayers.
Easter Week

The children enjoyed their vacation from school to celebrate Holy Week.  All had fun as the children (and adults!) swam in pools, used the Slip 'N Slides, played games, and participated in activities with the visiting team.  We extend our gratitude to the team from Union University and all of the staff, visitors, and volunteers that made this wonderful week of celebration full of laughter and smiles!
Solar Panels

We were recently blessed to host a team from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee to work on a solar energy project here at Emmanuel. Two electrical engineering students received college credit for their senior design projects, which were a small solar panel power project and a solar hot water project for our original team house facility. The projects were a win-win situation both for them and for Emmanuel!
Team House Express

Thank you to the Chattanooga Team for all of the time, energy, and resources you put in to completing the new 'Team House Express.' This beautiful building is a great addition to our campus, and it can house up to 40 people. We are excited to see how it allows us to expand in housing smaller teams and visitors.
Horsemanship Program

We enjoyed a 3-week visit from members of the  Sequatchie Valley International Preparatory Academy. The Horsemanship Program at Emmanuel was founded in 2004 with the purpose of helping children grow closer to God through horses.  During their visit, the energetic youth and adult staff spent time building their program, leading Big Circle with horse-themed performances, sharing Bible studies with the kids, and helping wherever else needed.  Thank you for all of the hard work you have put into developing the horse program and thank you for coming to share your hearts with us!
Teams

Since the beginning of the year, visiting teams have served us by assisting in the medical clinic, checking ears, cleaning teeth, helping with maintenance, planning activities for and playing with the children, holding ballet classes, leading Bible studies and big circle, teaching and leading rug hooking, painting the pre-school, working on the farm, and providing resources for and completing the new team house.  Thank you to the teams from Gainesville, Chattanooga, Indian Rocks Christian School, and Union University for sharing your time, talents, encouragement, and love with Emmanuel!
Kid's Corner

"First of all I am grateful to God. I am happy to have a sponsor and I hope to meet you some day face to face. I am well here, I'm lacking nothing, I have everything that I need in this orphanage, I am blessed. I don't want to leave here because I have my friends here and they are my family. I am thankful to God, He has given me life and everything that I have. I do have a request, that you pray for me every day, that I may be well, and not only for me but for all here in the orphanage. I would like to see everyone changed by God."
