Apr. 16, 2015

The cherry blossoms are fluttering to the ground and even the tulips are looking a bit worn. The spring is speeding by, but we still have time for a few more April celebrations.

First of all, at the end of the month, we're hosting our Spring Toy & Clothing Swap, for children's gear, ages 0 - 5yrs. Too-small stuff can be switched for things that fit. How great is that? April 26, from noon to 2pm.

Second of all, the Big Kids Club Spring Season has already started, and things kicked off last week with some eggs-cellent adventures. Jen's post is on the blog, and your child can join the fun just by being at Buddings from 1 - 4pm.

Thirdly, our Training and Experience Internship returns this season and we're pleased to welcome and introduce Sara and Duncan, who will be honing their skills with us for the next two months, at least!

Speaking of staffing, we told you the happy news about the positive response from Service Canada about Denet's application. She's filed for her work permit and internet rumours indicate about a month turn-around time. We may be seeing her shining face before the end of the season! What a treat!

Spring is the season of growth and development, so of course it's our favourite, and with so much going on, the only challenge is keeping up! Let's go!

Eggs-citing, Eggs-cellent, and Eggs-tra fun!

If you're hearing about our afternoon play and learning program for preschoolers for the first time, you're joining us at the perfect time! The Spring Season has just begun, with a line-up of amazing classes that run from 1 - 4pm every day from April to June.

This week, it's been a cracking adventure, with a combination of interests from all our kids and classes - namely: EGGS!

Jen and the Big Kids made a trip up to Le March St. George, in Mount Pleasant, to visit a backyard chicken coop. Her post on the blog has all the details! With that adventure serving as our jumping off point, it's been absolutely all about eggs.

Drago and the Story Journeys kids were looking for dragon eggs at Charleston Park, dinosaurs hatched out of eggs, and this morning, we had eggs for snack! Wow!

Introducing the Interns!

Buddings is extending our amazing opportunities for play and learning to a whole new age group - Adults!

This season, we're pleased to welcome two eager and enthusiastic would-be educators, joining the Buddings team through the return of our Training and Experience Internship.

An introduction to Sara King and Duncan Geiser is up on the blog, and we'll be sure to give you a more detailed bio once we've gotten to know them a bit better.
