Spring 2017
Dear Colleagues,

Happy Spring!  With the return of warm weather, there are more opportunities (and fewer excuses) to leave your desk to get a little wellness in.  It's the season of fresh fruits and veggies from farmers markets and tons of outdoor activities.

The  Bolling Wellness Center is still available for those rainy days (or days when it's 90 degrees plus) and we would love to see more members take advantage of this convenient, affordable option.  We also hope you'll join us in some activities that have been curated by the Bolling Wellness Committee. We are always looking for ways to have fun together!  If you have suggestions, please let us know! We will leave the survey that we sent in our Winter newsletter open so that we can continue to receive feedback about your fitness goals and interests and be responsive to the needs of our community. Please fill out the Spring Wellness Activities Interest Survey explained below so that we can schedule programming that is of interest to you.

Evidence shows that even a little physical activity benefits your health (Yes, we're sharing this article again because it's true!)  Please join us in stepping away from your desk in whatever way works for you.

Best,
Makeeba McCreary, Managing Director & Senior Advisor of External Affairs

1. Find easy ways to add more steps to your day. Whether this means walking the long way to the water fountain or taking the stairs up to your office, think about your everyday routine and add a few more steps each day!
2. Keep healthy, filling snacks around so that you never completely miss meals or aren't tempted to reach for junk food when your body is craving lunch!
3. Drink more water! Staying well-hydrated keeps up your productivity, energy level, and overall health. Keep a reusable water bottle at the office and fill it up as needed!
