The strength of the dollar also means that many of our properties can be rented at lower rates than in previous years. We highlight below some of our favorites that still have good availability for the spring and summer months.
PROVENCE  Mas de la Grande Vallee has it all - 7 air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite baths, stunning grounds with pool and tennis court, long-range views of the Provencal countryside. It is available until June 13 and from June 26 at $13,900 per week. The owners are also making a 5-bedroom configuration available, for up to 10 guests, at $10,550 per week.  Mas des Micocouliers is a traditional farmhouse on a large estate within walking distance of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. It can comfortably sleep up to 12, and is a wonderful choice for a multi-generational group with two master bedroom suites and the attached 2-bedroom annex. The pool is enormous and the grounds comprise a forest and streams with walking paths. The whole property is available at $8,650 per week in July and August, and the owner has offered the main house only (up to 8 people) at $7,050 per week. It is available starting July 4.  On the smaller side, La Petite Colline de Roussillon has good availability for the summer, and the owners have just installed pool heating to assure a comfortable temperature for swimming year-round. This little gem is available May 30 to June 6 at $5,075 and July 18 onward at $5,450 per week. The central air-conditioning and freshly remodeled bathrooms beckon a small family or two couples for this summer! PARIS  Our duplex apartment on Rue des Saints-Peres has some prime summer dates still open - June 13 to 29, July 6 to 16, July 23 to September 12 - at $4,300 per week. The location of this apartment is simply ideal, and we have many clients who return to the apartment year after year for its luxurious fittings, day to day comfort and general practicality.  The luxurious Place Vauban is open for all of April and May as well as August. With A/C throughout and new kitchen and bathrooms, not to mention the fabulous views of Les Invalides, at $6,560 per week, the apartment is perfect for two couples or a well-traveled family.  The owners of Quai de Montebello are offering a discount of $150 per week for March 31 to April 28 and May 18 to 31. The new price is $3,770. The apartment has good availability throughout the summer months at the regular price of $3,920 per week, until August 30. This bright and sophisticated apartment is a lovely home base for a couple who appreciates the view of Notre Dame and the lively Maubert quartier of the 5th Arrondissement.
In other news, members of the JUST FRANCE staff will travel to la belle France next month for a property inspection trip. We have a mix of new and current properties to visit and will cover Paris, Burgundy, Provence and the Cote d'Azur. We will also be inspecting a couple of properties in Brittany and hope to open up that region for the first time in our company's 24-year history. |
