This is our full day introductory class in fly fishing. We will introduce beginning anglers to the basic elements for successful trout stream angling. The course will cover equipment selection, leader design, knot tying, basic entomology and fly selection, reading the water,casting technique and fly presentation.
Fly Fishing courses take place at Yellow Creek Trout Club. April 2, 9am to 4pm.
Women's course takes place at Yellow Creek Trout Club. April 3o, 9am to 4pm.
Cost; $250.00 each, includes lunch and beverages.
Students are required to supply wading gear, rain jacket, 2016 PA fishing
license/trout stamp, rod and reel, and polarized sunglasses.
We can supply a rod and reel if you do not own one.
2016 Intermediate Fly Fishing Schools

NYMPHING CLASS:
Developing skills as a nymph fisherman is the best thing a trout fisherman can do to improve his catch rate. Included in this four-hour class are casting techniques for nymphing, entomology and how i t applies to fly selection. Anglers will also learn proper rigging, weighting, and indicators, as well as reading the water and various nymphing techniques.
Cost; $150.00 each, includes lunch and beverages. From 9am to noon.
Students are required to supply their own gear and 2016 PA fishing license/trout stamp.
DRY FLY CLASS:
Good fly presentation is the key to successful dry fly fishing. This intermediate class will focus on specialty casts and techniques to improve your dry fly presentation. Topics demonstrated and taught will include slack line casts, aerial mends, and casts to improve your drag free drifts.
Cost; $150.00 each, includes lunch and beverages. From 1pm to 4pm.
Students are required to supply their own gear and 2016 PA fishing license/trout stamp.
NYMPH/DRY FLY CLASS COMBO:
