This spring we are bringing you the latest information about art, music, theater, and special events happening with the Arts Council Northeast.  We invite you to stay informed and stay involved.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer with us and support the local arts in your community: Discover your favorite program and lend us your talents!

Local music fan?  We need emcees for area MasterWorks concerts. Contact Dylan Perera to sign up.

Love the social scene?  Join a committee for one of our fabulous events:  Triple Crown Affair, Taste of Northeast, and Shining Stars. Contact Lee Koch for more information.

Can you help creative kids?  Summer Arts College, our creative program is in need of volunteers during June and July to work with students, help teachers and have fun while earning volunteer hours. Priority will be given to anyone who is able to work the full week. Summer Arts College is a unique opportunity for children ages 6-15 to be a part of an imaginative and fun week-long, cultural experience.  Students receive a taste of the performing and visual arts.

Special Events

Join us Saturday May 7, for our fifth annual Triple Crown Affair at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie.  F rom 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. we will watch "The Run for the Roses" - the Kentucky Derby, and it will be a great opportunity to promote your business while supporting a good cause. We'll celebrate the heritage, traditions, and style of the Kentucky Derby with Southern hospitality and a party mentality - it will be a day you won't soon forget!

Pick your horses, place your bets, and cheer on your favorites while enjoying a lavish buffet and complimentary beer and wine (don't forget your Mint Julep!). A silent auction will offer the chance to bid on a fabulous array of items, while the live auction will be an exciting culmination to the day.Wear your finest Derby hat, because prizes will be awarded to those who do it best.
