Let's Go Fly a Kite!
Hannibal Parks & Recreation is partnering with Hannibal- LaGrange University for the first
Kite Festival
2-4 p.m. Sunday April 22 at HLGU Mabee Sports Comple
Participants are encouraged to bring their own kites or make a kite with the help of recreation management students
Kite assembly (supplies provided), will take place from 2-3PM in the Mabee Sports Complex
Kite flying will take place at the Blackwell Soccer Field from 3-4PM

Night Hike April 27
Hike will be canceled in case of inclement weather

Frogs and toads are a’calling and a’courting. Let’s listen and identify different amphibians by their call. What other spring critters will we hear? We’ll also look at the constellations so bring your binoculars.

Partner dancing is a fun way to exercise, a social activity and a special opportunity to experience nostalgia or something new!

Here's your chance, the first Missouri Master Naturalist class in Hannibal begins June 9. Mandatory orientation will be 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday,
May 8,
at the Burt Administration Building on the Hannibal-LaGrange University campus, 2800 Palmyra Road in Hannibal.

- Oakwood 5K Glow Run/Walk 7 p.m. April 20 at Sodalis Nature Preserve, raises money for playground at Oakwood Elementary School.
- Eugene Field Block Party 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21. Music, food, games, raffles, with all proceeds to the Playground Project.
- Great Girlfriend Getaway April 27-29 in downtown Hannibal. Check out the schedule here!
- Hannibal Writers Guild Meeting 5 p.m. May 4 at Mark Twain Brewery. The Hannibal Writers Guild, a chapter member of the Missouri Writers Guild, exists to enable area writers towards professional publishing goals through honing the unique literary talent of each member.
