Intramural Basketball Starts March 27
After a fun and successful intramural volleyball season, Carver students are invited to to join spring BASKETBALL. The intramural team is co-ed and practices start on Monday, March 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be two weeks of practice before Spring Break. Games start after break. Please

Carver beat first place American Legion High School for the season finale. Basketball starts Monday.

Juniors: If you haven't signed up for the ACT or SAT yet, now is the time! Dates of the ACT test are: are April 8, 2017 or June 10, 2017. Sign up at
www.act.org. If you'd rather take the SAT, the dates are May 6, 2017, June 3 2017 or August 26, 2017. Sign up at
www.collegeboard.org.
If you are not taking the ACT or SAT prep class, there are ways for you to prepare on your own. Visit Khan Academy at
www.khanacademy.org to get some free online prep work for the SAT. For the ACT, go to
www.act.org, sign up for the ACT question of the day and follow the links to online prep. You can also search at
amazon.com for SAT and ACT prep books that contain sample questions and tests. See Mrs. Kinn with questions.

Register now for our FREE test prep classes on Thursdays after school.
Scholars Tutoring Center is working with our College Advisor, Mrs. Kinn to get Carver students ready for college.

BloodSource Scholarship Applications are due March 31 and ALL requirements listed below must be turned in to be eligible. The City of Sacramento's Neighborhood Services Division invites students to its
Annual Youth Job & Resource Fair
, for ages 16-24. There will be summer employment,
volunteer and training program information and resources available. The Youth Job and Resource Fair will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at City Hall Plaza (915 I Street, between 9th and 10th Street). If it rains, the date will be rescheduled to Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Youth Job & Resource Fair is free for everyone, but registration requested.

Music on a Mission Seeks Students
Music on a Mission is a music lesson studio located in East Sacramento which donates 10% of the lesson cost back to homeless outreach in the city. Music on a Mission is currently accepting new students for music lessons. The more students, the more help we are able to provide! A free
