At the federal level, the recent elimination of funding to the Asset s for Independence (AFI) program  in the FY17 budget reinforces why our v oices  matter. Asset building works and  AFI is vital for the economic mobility of low and moderate families in Massachusetts.

Take Action to Protect AFI Funding:

Email Senator Markey and Senator Warren urging for their continued support of AFI in the FY18 appropriations bill

Dear Senator XXX,

Funding to the Assets for Independence (Agency: HHS, Account: ACF) program is vital to low and moderate income families in Massachusetts. As inequality continues to widen, we need asset building programs that give families a chance. Thank you for being a champion for Mass. residents and supporting a budget that invests in our communities.
