Delone Catholic High School Student Council will be hosting their annual Squire Picnic for students in third, fourth and fifth grades on Sunday, April 30. The day begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. on J.T. Flaherty field. There will be games, hamburgers, hot dogs, and prizes. Students do NOT have to attend a Catholic School to participate.

Sleepout for the Homeless
|
The Interact Club of Delone Catholic High School will hold its annual "Sleepout for the Homeless" overnight April 28-29. Students will be collecting donations from motorists and pedestrians in front of Delone Catholic on South Oxford Avenue in McSherrystown from 7-11 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The students will then spend the night outside to raise awareness of the homeless situation in our community.
All proceeds will be donated to the Hanover Area Council of Churches for the benefit of its homeless shelter. Everyone is encouraged to "drive by" Delone Catholic on Friday, April 28 to make a donation. Donations may also be sent to Delone Catholic Interact Club, Attn.: Sleepout, 140 South Oxford Avenue, McSherrystown Pa. 17344. DCBN Future Planning Meeting
|
Anyone interested in the future planning of DCBN for the 2017-18 school year is
invited to a meeting on Wednesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. Please park in the Delone Ave. lot and someone will greet you at the doors in the breezeway.
Attending does not obligate you to anything! If you have an interest in Delone Catholic athletics, broadcasting, or just want to help, come check it out!

Students may dress down on Monday, April 17 for $5 (to be collected in homeroom).

Advisory for Friday, May 5
|
Please remember that on Friday, May 5, the Juniors and Seniors will attend classes in the morning and then be dismissed for prom at 11:42 a.m. The Sophomores will attend a workshop and then be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. Sophomores are encouraged to sign-up in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations to help serve the alumni Ladies' Spring Tea from 1-3 p.m. They will be excused from the workshop if they sign up. This is also an opportunity to earn school works of mercy hours. Sophomores will need to bring a bag lunch. The Freshmen will attend an all-day retreat (click here for more information), returning to school in time for the regular 2:45 p.m. dismissal. Buses will run as usual at 2:45 p.m.

8th Grade Scholarship Competition - MUST REGISTER by APRIL 19
|
The Spring Open House will be held Sunday, April 23 from 12-3 p.m. Tours from current students will be available and all are welcome!
The 8th Grade Scholarship Competition will take place at 1 p.m. during Open House. Students may compete in a Jeopardy-style game or a timed essay. For more details or to register, please click here. Students must register by April 19 to be eligible to participate.

International Day April 27
|
All students and families are invited to take part in an International Day celebration on Thursday, April 27. There will be an assembly that afternoon and all students are welcome to participate by sharing a cultural performance. You are also invited to share a dessert from another culture during lunch so students can taste food from all over the world. If you are interested in performing or sharing a dessert, please contact Jen Lawrence.

Deadlines for Returning Students
|
Re-registration of current students is taking place this Spring. All returning students need to see their guidance counselor with completed course selection sheets, and to receive the registration packet. They will also receive directions to register for their courses online from their counselor.
Each student's completed course selection and online verification sheet, as well as the registration packet, and the registration fee must be turned into Mrs. Williams by the following date:
Class of 2019 - Monday, April 17
Class of 2018 - Monday, May 1
If a student is not returning, you must submit a letter (printed or e-mailed) to Mrs. Williams, by the date listed above.

Baccalaureate Liturgy - Submit by April 24
|
Seniors are invited to send into the Spiritual Life Office the names of family members and friends who have passed away so that they can be included in the Baccalaureate program. If there is someone you would like remembered, please e-mail Mrs. Phenicie.
Please include the name, the relation to the graduate, and whether or not they graduated from Delone Catholic.
Names should be submitted by April 24.

Offensive Line Coach Pat Flaherty '74 will once again personally run drills and teach offensive line techniques on Saturday, June 24 at J.T Flaherty Field.

Annual Basketball Golf Outing

Delone Catholic Boys and Girls Basketball teams are hosting their annual
golf outing on Friday, May 5 at Quail Valley Golf Course. It's a 1 p.m. shotgun start, rain or shine, with
