Congratulations to the Class of 2016! Offered more than $12.5 million in scholarships, performed over 14,147 hours of community service, and 94 percent are moving onto higher education. We are so proud!

Freshmen and New Student Parent Orientation |
Freshmen and New Student Parent Orientation night will be
Thursday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Used uniforms will be available for purchase, and any ties previously ordered may be paid for and picked up as well.
A panel of teachers, parents, and students will speak regarding programs and daily life at Delone Catholic. There will be a question and answer period, as well as current parents available to speak with incoming families on a one-on-one basis.
A reminder that freshmen orientation day is Thursday, Aug. 18 and the first day of school for all students is Monday, Aug. 22.

All incoming freshmen, as well as transfer students, are invited to Open Tours on
Thursday, Aug. 4 and Friday, Aug. 5 from 9-11:30 a.m., and 12:30-2 p.m. Current students will be available to walk new students through their first day of classes, show them their lockers and homerooms, and answer any questions about student life at Delone Catholic.

Science and Engineering Fair |
The Pennsylvania fair directors have realigned the areas and Adams County schools will now participate in the
USPA06: York County Science and Engineering Fair
instead of CASEF. All Delone Catholic students are eligible to compete. Students who are interested should contact Mrs. Gadow as early as possible to begin the process.

Volunteers Needed for Golf Tournament |
Students are needed to volunteer for the Henny Noel Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Transportation can be provided. Sign up with Mrs. Heberling. Works of Mercy hours will be given.

Parents of the Class of 2016:
Please remind your graduating senior that his/her Delone Catholic network account and Google Apps for Education Account will be closed as of
June 30.
- If a student wishes to save any files from the school network, he/she should make an appointment with Mr. Heilman in order to do so.
- Students should also save any emails from their school email account and any files they want to keep from their Google Drive by June 30. Emails could be forwarded to a personal email account. Files from Google Drive can be downloaded or shared with a personal Google Drive account. If sharing files to another Google Drive account, students should switch the ownership of the file to the personal account, rather than just sharing the file.

Changes Coming to www.DeloneCatholic.org |
The school website,
www.DeloneCatholic.org will be moving to a more modern website by the beginning of July. Please note that some pages of the new website may still be under construction throughout July. In August, parents and students can expect to receive emails with instructions for using the new website.
PARENTS, PLEASE REMIND YOUR STUDENTS TO SAVE ANYTHING FROM THEIR ECHALK "MY FILES" AND "BOOKMARKS" SECTIONS UNDER THE "MY ACCOUNT" TAB BY JUNE 15 AS THESE WILL NOT TRANSFER TO THE NEW SITE.

The PTO will be selling used uniforms in the school lobby on Tuesday, June 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday June 15 from 6-7 p.m. during the Music Association Carnival.
If you have used uniforms to donate, please clean and bring them to the Main Office by June 10.

The Mathematics and English Departments will be offering SAT Prep courses this summer.
The SAT Mathematics Prep course will run from 9-11 a.m. at Delone Catholic High School on July 12-14, and July 19-21. The SAT Mathematics Prepbook for the course will be provided. Registration brochures are currently available in the Main Office and on the Mathematics Department page of the Delone Catholic website by

Student & Parent Volunteers Needed |
Volunteers are needed to staff a booth at Codorus Blast the weekend of June 17, 18, and 19, as well as a booth at McSherrystown Heritage Days on Saturday, June 18.
This is a great opportunity to earn Works of Mercy hours! Both student and parent volunteers are needed. Incoming freshmen (Class of 2020) are also eligible to begin earning Works of Mercy hours at these events.

San Francisco 49ers Offensive Line Coach Pat Flaherty '74 is offering the Mason Dixon Linemen Clinic on Saturday, June 18 at Delone Catholic High School's J.T. Flaherty Field from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Young men in grades 7 through 12 from all surrounding schools are invited to attend. Coach Flaherty will personally run drills and teach offensive line techniques to attendees.

The event is open to family, friends, alumni and football fans to come and view the clinic. The Athletic Association will have the concession stand open.

The Delone Catholic Music Association Carnival is scheduled for June 13-18, 2016. Once again this year, both a "Ride-All-Night" bracelet (valid on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights) and reduced price ride tickets (valid on any night of the carnival) are
available for pre-order
. Orders can be picked up in the lobby of the Lawrence B. (Sonny) Sheppard, Jr. Memorial Gymnasium on any night of the carnival between 6-9 p.m.

Job Opening: Extended Care Director/Administrator
St. Joseph School is searching for an Extended Care Director/Administrator.
Applicants must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child development, special education or elementary education with at least 3 years' professional experiences working with children. Applicants must have the proper credentials and meet requirements of diocesan policies. Letters of recommendation are needed. The Extended Care Director is responsible for completing a budget, tracking attendance and payments, creating a daily schedule and planning activities. All interested parties should submit standard applications, a basic resume, and a simple cover letter to the Diocese of Harrisburg as well as St. Joseph School Office at 236 Baltimore Street, Hanover.
