Spring Play
Delone Catholic High School's Spring Play, "Anne of Green Gables" will be presented on stage in the Old Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2 at 
7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 2:30 p.m. The role of "Anne Shirley" will be portrayed by Emma Roeder '19, "Marilla Cuthbert" will be portrayed by Gabi Davidheiser '17 and "Matthew Cuthbert" will be portrayed by Joseph Staub '16. "Anne of Green Gables" is directed by Greg Lauchman '08. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for students. The Delone Catholic Music Association will hold a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 2 in the cafeteria prior to the play from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Tuition Assistance Deadlines Approaching
Pennsylvania Residents (APRIL 15 DEADLINE):
The Diocese of Harrisburg has changed the process for the Neumann Scholarship Foundation for the 2016-17 school year. They have partnered with FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. 

The application will now be fully online. Deadline for the Neumann Scholarship is April 15. The application will allow you to upload your supporting documents until May 15. Pennsylvania Residents click here for the application and more details. . If you need assistance with computer and/or scanning access, please call the Main Office at 717-637-5969. 

Maryland Residents (APRIL 1 DEADLINE):
2016-17 Delone Catholic High School Private School Aid Service Application is now available here. All  MARYLAND families seeking tuition assistance should complete  this application before April 1.

Note: to be considered for any Delone Catholic scholarships or aid, you MUST submit your application to the appropriate state in which you reside. 

Note from the School Nurse
Parents:

Does your child have any new or revised medical conditions since the beginning of the school year?  Are they taking any new or different medications?  

Please make sure that you communicate this information with the nurse, Mrs. Kim Cook, as soon as possible.  Mrs. Cook will update your child's medical records and emergency forms.

Adopt a Classroom
Will you be the first to adopt a classroom? 
Delone Catholic is calling students and alumni who  have fond memories of a certain classroom or a certain teacher to help our current teachers  once a week to clean their classroom. Our teachers would appreciate your help so that they  can devote their time to lesson planning especially with the new technology that is available. 

Students, if you are interested, Works of Mercy hours can be earned. 
If alumni, you would have  our deepest thanks.

Delone in the Dark - April 1 Deadline 
Delone Catholic hosts "Delone in the Dark" for sixth and seventh grade students. The night for boys is Friday, April 8 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. and the night for girls is Friday, April 15 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Registration forms are available in the Main Office of Delone Catholic. 

All students must register (including students outside of the Adams County deanery). Registration by March 23 is $5, after March 23 is $10. No registrations will be accepted after April 1. No registrations will be accepted at the door.  

Freshman Fundraiser Shultz's Delicatessen  - April 1 Deadline
The Class of 2019 is selling Schultz's sandwiches and subs until Friday, April 1.  All orders and money are due by April 1 and orders be distributed Wednesday, April 13. Ham & Swiss pretzel roll sandwich is $4.25, turkey & American pretzel roll sandwich is $4.75, 12" cold cut sub is $5.50, 12" turkey sub is $5.75 and 12" Italian sub is $6.25. 2015-16 Delonian Yearbook Orders due March 31
The 2015 - 16 Delonian yearbook orders must be placed by Thursday, March 31.  Last Fall, our partner, Herff Jones, sent a mailing to every family with details on how to order a yearbook via their  website  using a credit card.  Orders are also being accepted at school.  

Also consider placing an Ad for Grad for your graduating senior.  Ad space is limited, so don't delay.  Orders are on a first come basis or May 1, whichever is first.

REMINDER: 2016 Formal Attire (Prom) Guidelines
As prom attire shopping is now in full swing, please remember the  2016 Formal Attire Guidelines are available online here. This includes  sketches available for visual clarification. Both the guidelines and sketches may be printed from the website and taken to dress shops to aid in the formal attire purchase for your son or daughter. Printed copies of the powerpoint are available to view in Junior and Senior homerooms. 

Delone Catholic requires students, parents and guests to sign  this form, acknowledging you have read the guidelines and will make modest formalwear selections. The guidelines are to be followed for the duration of the evening.  The form is required in order to purchase prom tickets. Once signed, it may be turned into Mrs. Lester any time prior to ticket purchase.

E&B Transportation Rates for 2016-17
E&B Transportation provides busing for Maryland, Upper Adams and Fairfield residents. The 2016-17 rates are now available online. Also online is the 2016-17 Transportation Registration Form. Times are tentative until all registration forms are submitted. This form must be submitted for all current and new students requesting transportation not provided by their School District.

Mandatory Sophomore Parent/Student Meeting
A reminder to parents of sophomores - the mandatory sophomore parent/student meeting will be held Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. in the Sheppard gym.  The topic will be on the Dangers/Impact of Social Media, presented by Judge Michael George, Adams County Court.  All sophomore parents and students are required to attend.

SAT Math Prep - Register by Tuesday
SAT Math Prep  will be held on April 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, and 28 from 3-5 p.m. at DCHS. The $165 fee includes instruction and a prep book. Registration forms are available in the Main Office and on the Mathematics Department page. Register by March 29 for Math Prep. For more information contact  Mrs. Sneeringer .

Sophomore Retreat Host Families Needed

Our Sophomore Retreat will once again be led by young adults from NET Ministries, a team of men and women who travel the country throughout the year and lead retreats to evangelize young people. Delone Catholic is in need of a few families to host these men and women the evening of April 1 to the morning of April 2. Please contact Mrs. Kate Phenicie if you are able to help.  

Encounter Retreat
The Encounter Retreat for college aged young adults and recent graduates will be held April 2 at the Cardinal Keeler Center in Harrisburg. More information can be found here

Meditation on Mercy for March
Each month during the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the USCCB will offer a meditation on Mercy, which can be used by families to foster a greater awareness of God's mercy and His call for us to work with mercy in our lives.  Click here for March's meditation .

Paint Nite Fundraiser at Bill Bateman's Bistro
The Music Association is having a Paint Nite fundraiser Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at Bill Bateman's Bistro. Tickets are $45 and need to be purchased in advance. There are only 40 tickets available due to venue size. Click here to purchase tickets.

All You Can Eat Wing & Craft Beer Night - Ticket deadline March 25
On Friday, April 1 join us at Sacred Heart School for "AYCE Wing & Craft Beer Night" from 6 - 10 p.m. "Callahan Wings" along with local breweries Aldus and Something Wicked make for a great night at Sacred Heart School. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased by March 25 from Sacred Heart School at 717-632-8715 or online. Tickets may also be purchased through B.J. Felix at 717-451-4224 or via emailDoors open at 5:30 p.m. with serving from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Must be 21 or older to attend. There will be 13 jars, raffles and a wing eating contest! Chapel Run 5k & Fun Run
Chapel Run 5k & Fun Run is Saturday, May 21 at Sacred Heart School. 5k starts at 9 a.m. and Fun Run is immediately following the 5k. Registration for the 5k is $20 before April 15 (includes T-shirt) and $25 after April 15 (T-shirts available while supplies last). Registration for the Fun Run is $10 before April 15 (includes T-shirt) and $15 after April 15 (T-shirts available while supplies last).
