BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
St. Francis Day

" All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
the lord God made them all."

Join us on Sunday, October 4th at 10:00 AM for the Blessing of the Animals celebrating the feast day of St. Francis.  Bring your pet, a picture of your pet, or your favorite stuffed animal to be part of this special day. (All pets should be on a leash or in a carrier, please!)

We will collect dog and cat food, kitty litter, and any pet supplies  to distribute to our friends in elderly housing who often must choose between eating or feeding their own pets. Why not help an elder keep their pets in healthy condition?  The items we collect will be distributed by Susannah Leslie and her civic group Altrusa . Please be generous in helping our Seniors and their pets.
       MUSICAL NOTES

Adult Choir:  The Adult Choir will begin the 2015-16 season this Sunday, September 20th . There will be a rehearsal at 9:00 AM in the Sanctuary and then they will sing at the 10:00 AM service.  All are welcome!
Do you have questions about
the Episcopal Church?
Whether you're a lifelong Episcopalian or new to the Episcopal Church, you may have questions about our worship, customs, beliefs -- or just about anything else. Email Deacon Liz if you're interested in forming a group to find out more. We'll establish dates, times, and topics to meet the needs of the group.
Confirmation Class

All 9th graders are invited to prepare for confirmation next May. The first meeting will be this  Sunday, September 20th at 4:30 PM
in the Rector's office. A parent should come with each student for this brief informational and planning meeting. Please notify both the office and Deacon Liz if you are planning to be there, or if you plan to participate but are not able to be at the first meeting. In confirmation class, we learn together and also have fun!
