Are You Thinking About Adopting-a-Student?
The Congregational Development Team is still seeking people (at least two adults per student) who are interested in beginning an Adopt-a-Student program with Christopher Newport University. We need to know by August 26 if you are interested so we can match the students to families for the new semester. Please email Mary or John Wood to sign up.
Training for Coffee Bar Teams
There will be a training and review session for all Coffee Bar Teams on Sunday, August 26 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. This meeting is very important for all new team members beginning their first term and anyone that might be interested in participating in this service to our church community. We will be reviewing the process for making the coffee and setting up for this ministry of hospitality which will resume on September 9. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact either Joy Johnson (757-876-5235) or Nora Ann Lambiotte (757-291-2299) so that we may make other arrangements for your training.
