Each year, St. Edward students participate in a nationwide competition focusing on Holy Cross identity. Project Hope 2016 challenged students to answer the question "
How can we authentically live a life of mercy?" by creatively responding to one of the following prompts.
Pope Francis recently tweeted, "Let the Church always be a place of mercy and hope, where everyone is welcomed, loved and forgiven." What do you think of this statement? Where else in our lives is it important to show others mercy and hope?
Mercy, or forgiveness from God and others, is a way for us to push the "restart" button in our lives. Is there an experience or time when you wished you could press restart? Tell us about that experience and how it influenced your understanding of mercy.
What works of mercy have you performed or witnessed in others? How do these acts bring you closer to your faith or to God?
Congratulations to the following students who were recognized as prize winners this year: Elijah Christley, Quinn Baker, Gerry Lavelle, Ethan Fittro, Danny Zahn, Seth Burke, Kordell Hoover, Matt Minotti, Nick Berchak, Nicholas Greenawalt, Christian Howard and Jared Muller.
