Elijah Cup Prayers for Vocations
Our parish has a beautiful ministry dedicated in prayerful support of vocations - The Elijah Cup Ministry.
The Elijah Cup is a consecrated chalice taken home for one week, rotated at each Mass.  There is also the monthly chalice given at every First Friday Devotion Mass.  Each carrying case comes with a chalice, instructions, a selection of prayers, Rosary, book, and spiritual journal to share the experiences felt while praying for those called to religious life.
A receiving family or individual displays the chalice in a prominent place at home and prays for an increase of men and women called to religious vocations:  priests, deacons, seminarians, sisters or nuns.  Knowing that you are praying for them will lift their called hearts ready to serve or to continue as our spiritual leaders bringing us closer to God.
We always need families and individuals to pray for vocations.   What a blessing ...so let this chalice journey to your home and t hank you for the prayerful consideration!
Please look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex.  For more information, please contact:

Catechists Needed
Faith Formation is in need of Catechists as well as classroom assistants for the 2018-2019 Faith Formation year! Our Faith Formation program serves students in grades 1-12 as well as our preschool aged children through the Sunday nursery program. All volunteers and catechists are required to pass a criminal background check and receive Virtus certification through the Archdiocese of Atlanta. There will also be a summer catechist training to learn more about our formation program and parish leadership training. While this is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to serve our parish, catechists must be committed to the religious education or our youth. If you are a fully initiated Catholic in good standing with the Church, please prayerfully consider serving as a catechist at St Francis. For more information, please contact Amy Toft, Director of Faith Formation at
  atoft@stfac.org or 770-382-4549 xt 20

Faith Formation Registration is now OPEN!
While the family formation experience is the most important religious education that your child could ever undertake, it is our role as Church to help support and encourage you as parents as the primary educators of your children. Furthermore, sacramental reception and participation in
weekly Sunday mass is foundational to living a holy, Catholic life which our catechesis is built upon. For this reason, we strongly encourage continuous faith formation of your children and offer religious education classes for grades 1-12. Please take special note that weekly mass attendance is required as part of our program.
Faith Formation Registration for the 2018-2019 academic year is now open! Registration packets are being distributed after faith formation classes in the carpool line. Packets may also be picked up in the parish office after mass or in the Faith Formation office throughout the week. Please carefully read the program information, complete all paperwork and return the forms with your family payment to the Faith Formation office NO LATER than June 2018 to ensure your child's placement. Spots fill quickly so please enroll now.
For questions, please contact our Faith Formation Office for program details.  We look forward to serving you and your family.

Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come
Join us for an 11 week study on Revelation beginning July 7th at 9:30 pm. The book of Revelation is one of the most commonly misunderstood books of the Bible. Many Catholics are almost afraid to read it, because it is a heavily symbolic book with mysterious figures and apocalyptic scenes.
But Revelation is actually an incredibly joyful book! It is a revelation of God as our Divine Bridegroom and the Church as his spotless Bride, forever united in a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage that we enter into every time we celebrate the Mass.
In short, Revelation is about the Mass! Through this study, your Sunday mass experience will no doubt be transformed and come alive in wonder, awe and amazement at the power and love of our awesome God! Jeff Cavins unpacks this mysterious book of the Bible in a way that everyone can understand through a joyful message of hope that is key to our Catholic Faith
Join us starting July 7th on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am - 11:30am.
Cost is $24/book. Bring your Catholic Bible!
Sign up today by contacting Dee Hidalgo at mdh4jc@outlook.com or Amy Toft at atoft@stfac.org, 770-382-4549 xt20
