The 7 Gifts and 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit
We know that at some point Fr. Juan will ask us again in one of his homilies, "Come on, everybody.  Tell me what are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit?"  And of course we'll be trying to remember what we learned when we were confirmed.  Well now we can be prepared!
Let's come together for a discussion on the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit placed in our souls and why (hint: to safeguard the Theological Virtues).  We'll also discuss the Fruits of the Holy Spirit, which are to be visible in Christians as signs that the Holy Spirit dwells within us - "as a tree is known by its fruits".  Don't be caught again without an answer!
Join us on Saturday October 28, 9:00-11:30 in the St. Thomas Room. All are welcome!

St. Francis of Assisi-St. Vincent de Paul Chapter News
Through a wide array of programs and services, St. Vincent de Paul, SVdP, continues to be Hope in Action for children, families, and individuals throughout the world. Respecting the dignity of each person, SVDP brings hope and help to those in need so they may find stability and move toward self-sufficiency. The vision of SVdP is to change the face of charity by offering hope and help to those we serve through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul began in Paris in 1833 and emphasized the importance of giving kindness, respect, and compassion to people in need.
Recently, St. Francis of Assisi began working toward becoming a SVdP conference. We want to take this mission of hope to our local community by providing family support, direct aid, advocacy and community referrals. It is our belief that as part of a community of faith we are purposed to be a source of good for others. We will be meeting monthly and are still in need of financial support and those willing to make home visits as part of the mission of the organization. Please contact, Liz Fox, at 770-382-1405 if you are interested in helping.
