The Weekly Word

I We'll gather in the Parish Hall following the 10:30 service for snacks and beverages before commencing the business of the meeting at Noon. Three new vestry members will be elected, and at this time nominees are: Ruth Henry, Frank Johnson, and Barbara Walsh.  Also, we will approve two newly appointed members to the school board and new members of the gift shop board.
While attendance at every Annual Parish Meeting is important, this year it is even more so, as we will discuss some issues of great importance relative to the future of St. Francis. Therefore, I urge you to make every effort to attend.
Fr. Brad

Thank You

I want all of you to know how grateful I am for the generous bonus I received at the end of the year.  In addition to the financial gift, I am grateful for the thoughtfulness behind the gift.  To be the recipient of such thoughtfulness is truly a blessing.

Fr. Brad

Thank you all for my bonus this year!  To know that you think of me is the true gift.  It is my honor and pleasure to serve at St. Francis with such wonderful folks!

SHOEBOX MINISTRY: The Daughters of the King have taken over the Shoebox Ministry, benefiting the Temple Women's Shelter. We will be collecting items to go into shoeboxes.  What will be needed are basic toiletries, such as shampoos, soaps, razors, deodorant, facecloths, toothbrushes and paste, combs and brushes.  We also require empty shoe boxes. Dear St. Francis,

We would like to wish all our parishioners a very Happy New Year!  It is always exciting and refreshing at the start of a new year.  May 2017 be all you hope it to be.
We would like to introduce a new staff member to our team.  Mrs. Amanda Strickland joins us this year as a Two's teacher.  Mrs. Strickland comes to us from Salado where she has been a substitute teacher for SISD.

Our school is having a fabulous school year, our students are growing and learning and thoughts have already turned to registration for the 2017-2018 school year.  Registration for our currently enrolled and alumni families begins February 13 and opens to the public February 23 with a Winter Open House at 6:00pm.
The school is continuing to accept bids on the renovation project for the metal building.  If you know of a contractor in the area that would be interested, please have them contact our Director, Wendy Thibeault at

This month, the school will be collecting pre-packaged snack items to donate to our Salvation Army who provides after school care for local children.  We will be collecting these food donations all month long.  Example of items being accepted: individual size packages of gold fish crackers, fruit snacks, apple sauce, animal crackers, etc.  Donations may be dropped off in front of the school kitchen in the hall.  Thank you!

Many Blessings, Wendy Thibeault
