The Weekly Word

As you probably know, I will be going away on sabbatical leave on June 1st. I will return to St. Francis on Sunday August 28th.  A large portion of my time away will be spent renewing relationships with family members in Louisiana.  This is also a time of rest and renewal for my body, mind, and spirit. Fr. John Wells and Deacon Tamara will provide for worship services and pastoral care, and Senior Warden Lyn Miller, along with the vestry, will continue to care for the temporal matters of the parish.

My time away from St. Francis is also an important time for each person in our congregation. It is an opportunity to discern a future vision for our parish - through reflection, prayer, and or new or deeper involvement in ministry.

The thought of discovering new directions for our work in building the Kingdom of God is exciting to me, and I hope that it is exciting to each of you, as well.

Blessings+
Fr. Brad.
