The Tree is decorated with all of the Gift Tags for the Children of Project Angel Tree. Each child has three tags for each of the three gifts; toy, clothing, and Christian gift. Once all three tags are removed by our Shopping Angels, replace the tags with the Angel ornament found on the basket by the tree. A sign up list is provided on the Narthex table for the Shopping Angels to place their name and number next to the child's ID number for the gifts they are getting for that child.
If you are wrapping the gifts, please attach the large sticker on the wrapped gift. If you are bringing the gifts to be wrapped by our Wrapping Angels, please place the sticker in the bag with the gift to be wrapped so the wrapping Angels can place it on the gift.
All gifts should be brought to the Church by Sunday, December 10 th so that they may Blessed before the Christmas Party on the 16 th . We will place the wrapped gifts around the pulpit for the blessing.

Thank you to the Wildscape Team
By Cindy

This is to extend appreciation and thanks to parishioners, Jeff Callin, Richard Macchi, Lawson Grant, Noah Schaefer,  Karen Fredenburg, Leonard Henry, and Cindy Allen for volunteering to help with the wildscape project. Our landscapers, Daniel Perry and Leonard Hays, did a great job with sawing down the Bradford pears and hauling them off to make way for the new baby trees.  Bless all of you!

In the next year or two, we'll begin seeing blooming trees in the spring and in the fall, colors of red buds, red oak,  bigtooth maple, rusty blackhaw viburnum and red buckeye!  Joanne, beloved wife of John Millican and who designed our wildscape, would be proud!

Thanks to Linda Frick and Gail Avots for a wonderful job on the farewell reception for Fr. Brad.....the cake with special symbolism, lovely decorations and invitations to people who were blessed by his ministry.

Living Well Through Advent
2017 Guide from Living Compass

Advent begins Sunday, December 3rd. The seasons of Advent and Christmas are filled with the presence of wonder, if only we remember to pause and open ourselves to receiving this gift. Practicing Wonder with all Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind is a timely resource to help remind each of us to take time to discover how the gifts of wonder might be born in us yet again this year.

Designed for use as an individual reflection or for group study, this guide provides a foundation for seeking a deeper experience of the Advent season, an experience that will help prepare us for the true meaning of Christmas.

25 guides have been ordered and you will be notified when they are available for your use. They are free of charge. If you are interested in participating in a group study with Deacon Tamara starting on December 3rd between the 8:30am and 10:30am services, please let her know. Or you may use the guide for your own individual or family reflections.
Ongoing Ministries
TUESDAY SOLACE: Tuesday Solace is a free service supporting families affected by Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia and takes place from 1:00 -4:00pm at the Parish Hall. Allowing caregivers respite time, the program provides music and singing, fun, social activities, and loving care to the participants.

WEEKEND NUTRITIONAL BACKPACK MINISTRY:  Each Wednesday morning during the school year at 9:30am volunteers gather at CTLC (Churches Touching Lives for Christ) to fill 400 backpacks for the WNB Ministry. CTLC is located at
702 West Avenue G, Temple TX .

FEED MY SHEEP SACK MEALS (FMS):  On the 2nd Sunday of each month, all are invited to gather in the Parish at 9:30 to prepare 200 sack lunches for our neighbors who have limited access to food. The lunches are delivered to Feed My Sheep. Our next scheduled sack meal preparation is Sunday, December 10 . To learn how to get involved, please see Deacon Tamara.
CHURCHES TOUCHING LIVES FOR CHRIST (CTLC) :  The collection item for November 2017 instant mashed potatoes or stuffing.  Items may be brought to the narthex on Sunday or to the Church Office during weekdays.

ST. FRANCIS GIFT SHOP: As most of you know, the gift shop must have two workers at all times.  We are in desperate need of volunteers.  This is a great time to ask your best friend to sit with you and a great time to socialize and catch up. Please consider, just 3 1/2 hours a month and we will put you on the schedule.

ST. FRANCIS CHOIR: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!" Notice the passage does NOT say we have to have a beautiful voice to praise God! We are looking for new choir members. We practice at 9:30am before we sing at the 10:30am service. So come join us!
