BOXES

A while ago I put out a call for boxes for our Feed My Sheep outreach. The response has been tremendous and I thank you all! Right now we have quite a collection of boxes and many of them are too small for us to use.  Please donate only copy paper size boxes or slightly larger.

Deacon Tamara.

DEAR ST. FRANCIS
It is hard to believe that a month of school has come and gone!  October is our month to celebrate our namesake, St. Francis, hosting our traditional "Blessing of the Animals" with our students by bringing their own "stuffed animals" to school on October 5th.  We enjoyed chapel time out on our school playground giving all our beloved animals a blessing of their own.
To continue showing our love for the animals like St. Francis has shown us to do, we are taking donations all month long for the Temple and Belton Animals Shelters.  Items we are accepting are: dog/cat food, cat litter/cat litter boxes, leashes/collars, gently used blankets and towels.  If you are interested in helping with this community outreach, please feel free to drop donations off in front of the school kitchen.  Thank you for your generosity by helping the animals of our communities.
We look forward to our future events this month and, as always, welcome our parishioners to join us!

Ongoing Ministries
Tuesday Solace: Tuesday Solace is a free service supporting families affected by Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia and takes place from 1:00 -4:00pm at the Parish Hall. Allowing caregivers respite time, the program provides music and singing, fun, social activities, and loving care to the participants.

Weekend Nutritional Backpack Ministry: Each Wednesday morning at 9:00am volunteers gather at CTLC (Churches Touching Lives for Christ) to fill 400 backpacks for the WNB Ministry. CTLC is located at 702 West Avenue G, Temple TX

Feed My Sheep Sack Meals (FMS) : On the 2nd Sunday of each month, all are invited to gather in the Parish at 9:30 to prepare 200 sack lunches for our neighbors who have limited access to food. We are skipping October because it falls on the same weekend as our Community Pet Blessing and 50th Anniversary Celebration.  To learn how to get involved, please see Deacon Tamara.
