The Weekly Word
I am so pleased and excited to tell you that St. Francis will soon begin work on redeveloping a vision for our parish. A visioning coach (Elizabeth Ann Gates) recommended by the diocese will meet with the vestry in a few weeks to revise our Mission Statement and our Core Values that were last updated more than 5 years ago.  Shortly thereafter, Elizabeth Ann will return to St. Francis to facilitate a congregational meeting where everyone will have a chance to speak and participate in creating a Vision for St. Francis.  Once a Vision is determined, a small group will work on identifying specific actions aimed at bringing this new Vision to reality.

More information regarding the progress of the vestry's work and scheduling of the Congregational Meeting will be forthcoming.

Fr. Brad

Calling all St. Franciscans, we need volunteers to assist in putting together a slide presentation and booklet documenting our 50 years as a parish. You can also email them to Deacon Tamara at Anyone wishing to assist in documenting our parish history, please let Chris Sedonic know by emailing her at
Each Wednesday morning during the school year, at 9:00am, we gather at Churches Touching Lives for Christ (CTLC) to fill 400 backpacks with food for food-insecure schoolchildren.  The children receive a backpack filled with enough food to get them through the weekend on Friday.  On the following Monday they return the empty backpack.  We then fill those empty backpacks again.  Having personally participated on several occasions, I can tell that this is a fun outreach filled with conversation and laughter.  St. Francis has been involved for almost four years. If your schedule permits, please come join us!  See below for location of CTLC.

I am knitting hats for the homeless.  If you like to knit or crochet and would be interested in making hats/scarves/mittens for people in need, please let me know.  If you need a pattern, I have a very easy one for a knit hat worked in the round on circular needles.  It is a free pattern on, but you can use any pattern for any type of hat, etc. that you want to make.  If you have any questions, please contact Roiann Ludlow at or text me at 780-1527.
