Happy New Year & Welcome Back!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and that you had a chance to spend quality time with family and friends. I hope you had a moment to relax, rejuvenate, and reflect. The New Year provides a fresh start and the opportunity to do better. Pope Francis recently posted an inspiring message that I wanted to share with you. It reminds us to live in the moment, live fully, and most of all, love each other and ourselves.
The NEW YEAR brings a NEW LOOK to the NEWSLETTER! Today’s world moves fast, schedules are full, and the amount of information we all receive on a daily basis can be overwhelming. In an effort to make the newsletter more efficient and user friendly, we will be streamlining content and focusing on keeping information current. We will also make an effort to link information rather than running it multiple times. On a related note, we are working hard to update our parent portal/website to make it a more useful tool for you.
If you have a child who will be ready for TK/Kindergarten in the fall,
NOW
is the time to submit an application. All applications are due by Wednesday, January 31

(925) 837-2977 to schedule your child’s testing time. If your child is a current TK student, you

Current school families truly are our best marketing tool. Our TK/Kindergarten Informational Meeting will be Friday, January 19,

The St. Isidore School community truly operates like a big family! On Monday, we had five new families start school! It is exciting to see our school continue to grow and thrive. Welcome to the Kosciusko (2

Student safety is a priority. Over the past few months we have had several instances of graffiti vandalism to the back of our school. We have been working with the Danville Police Department and have installed cameras on campus to monitor activity after hours. The camera feed is shared in real-time with the administration and with authorities should there be any more incidents. We want you to know we take every precaution to ensure the safety of our children.
Auction tickets are now on sale! This year we will celebrate in style at "The Gatsby Gala". The Auction is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year and an event you won't want to miss. Your support is vital to the success of the night, please

As you know, we are officially in the middle of cold and flu season, and many students have been ill. Please take a moment to read the “Nurse’s Note” in today’s newsletter. Taking a few precautions may help keep your family healthy during this season.
There will be no school on Friday, January 12,
th
due to a Diocesan staff day or Monday, January 15,

in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Enjoy your long weekend!
Happy 2018!
