Dear (Contact First Name),
Welcome to our visiting team who will be here today, tomorrow and Friday. We are so excited to have them here to visit and to share our school with them. The accreditation process is an exciting time to celebrate our accomplishments and look ahead to setting goals for the future of St. Leander School.
We thank the parents again for their input at our December holiday gathering and the support of our School Board for helping us to develop our goals and for their work on our Strategic Plan. Listed below are our three action plan goals.
Goal #1: St. Leander School will engage in professional development to learn how to more effectively use data. We will engage in more focused, regular, and in-depth analysis of test scores and student performance data and use that data to effectively inform and strengthen our instructional practices and provide targeted instruction.
Goal #2:
St. Leander School needs to develop a more rigorous curriculum and instructional strategies, particularly in the areas of Math and Reading Comprehension, and utilize appropriate assessment tools in line with the Common Core standards.
Goal #3: St. Leander School will develop a formal Resource Program to assist teachers and families in supporting high achievement for all students.
Lenten Prayer
God of love, I know that you are the source of all that is good and graced in my life. Help me to move from the life of sin to which I so often cling, into the new life of grace you offer me. You know what I need to prepare for your kingdom. Bless me with those gifts. Amen.
PTG/School Board News
All PTG officers and School Board members will attend the parent meeting with our visiting team on Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30 PM. This meeting is a time to discuss our school with the visiting team and share the wonderful work of our parent groups. Thank you for your dedication and service to St. Leander School.
Uniform Reminders
Please remember that all students need to be in full uniform every day. School sweaters, sweatshirts or fleece are the only uniform sweaters or jackets that may be worn in the classrooms. Also, remember that shoes must be white or black only and no colored striping or accents.
News from the MOMs Club
The MOMs Club will need to cancel the 70's Boogie Night at The Englander on Saturday night due to unexpected family emergencies. They plan to reschedule at a later date this spring.
