A Message from the Principal...
Dear St. Louis Families,

What a special weekend we have ahead of us...First Communion on Saturday and Mother's Day on Sunday! Our First Communicants are ready to receive our Lord for the first time through the Eucharist, and they are very excited to share the day with their loved ones. I pray that all of you have a very special  Mother's Day and hope that you will ask our Blessed Mother, Mary, to be with your family in a very special way.

This coming Tuesday evening, May 15th at 7pm, we will have our final PTO meeting of the year. There will be an announcement and recognition of the volunteer of the year and then a viewing of "Screenagers", an excellent documentary on parenting our children through digital/screen time. Our middle schoolers will also be seeing the middle school classroom version on "Screenagers" later in the week during the school day. As we focus on technology and its impact on our children, please read the letter attached here that went home in student folders today regarding smart watches and "smart" fitbits.

I want to thank all of our PTO board members who worked tirelessly throughout this school year to support our students and teachers through the organization of fundraisers, classroom events, family events, and so much more!  Parental support is so important to student growth and success, and it is part of what makes St. Louis School such a wonderful community.

Many blessings,

Kathleen McNutt
Principal

From Mrs. Cotnoir...the Counselor's Corner
The movie Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age is coming to St. Louis Catholic School next Tuesday evening during the PTO meeting. This is an important film and we are very blessed to have it coming to our school. Although the title makes it seem like it's directed toward parents of teens, I believe all parents should come to see it. It's never too early to start thinking about how technology is impacting our children and how we as parents can assist our children in developing a healthy relationship with technology. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at jcotnoir@stlouisschool.org. Hope to see you Tuesday!!

If you attend the meeting and sign-in, your children will receive a comfy clothes day on May 29th. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Babysitting will be available. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Guardian Angel Program Needs Volunteers
St. Louis' Guardian Angel program pairs existing St. Louis families with families that will be joining the school community. The Guardian Angel families provide an information resource to parents and friendly faces to the students who will be starting a new school. Volunteer families from all grades are needed, but we particularly need families that will have an incoming Kindergartner or that have recent Kindergarten experience.

If you are interested in participating in the program for the upcoming school year, please sign up using the following link, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9X8RB3R. This link will take you to a survey that will ask you to input your name and contact information, information about your current students, and any preferences on pairing with incoming families. We use this information to pair families with students in the same grade and, where possible, that live in the same area. If you are an existing Guardian Angel volunteer and want to continue, please sign up using the survey, as well. We want to ensure that we have the best and most up-to-date information for pairing families. Thank you for helping to support our school community - present and future!
