Adult Christian Formation:
 A Journey Through Mark

Beginning in September the adults will be taking a journey through the Gospel of Mark. The book we are using is in the photo above and can be ordered off of Amazon. The book is broken up into a daily reading from the gospel, a one page reflection, followed by a couple of reflection questions and a prayer. We plan to cover six readings from the previous week in our lively discussions. Join us at  9:15 am in the adult classroom on the ground floor of the church.

Inquirer's Classes to begin in October

Are you interested in learning more about the Christian faith and the Episcopal Church? Would you like to become confirmed, or maybe you just need a refresher then this class is for you. Your questions are encouraged. Bishop Benfield will be making his annual visitation in November and these classes are required if you wish to be confirmed.
If you have any questions about the 6 wee course please email
Fr. Carey:  frcarey8@gmail.com or give him a call at 501-940-9692 .

VET's DINNER:

Our next vet's dinner will be Thursday, September 28
th, in the Parish Hall starting at  6:00 p.m.   Volunteers are needed to help prepare some side dishes and desserts, also to help with set up, serving, and clean up.  Watch for the sign up in the narthex.  Contact Dan Dennis for more information at

There are currently openings in the choir that need to be filled.  We are especially interested in hearing from you if you sing soprano, tenor, or bass.
If you have never sung in a choir before, it can be a wonderful opportunity to connect into a strong, vibrant community; a place to find musical fulfillment, singing the very best of our Anglican repertoire; a way to destress after long days or weeks, and focus on nothing but the present work at hand:  making beautiful music to the glory of God.  If you have sung before, please know that you are warmly invited back.
Please see Rees after church  on Sunday, or email him at  Rees.R95@gmail.com.
We hear he's rather friendly.

On  Sunday, October 1, at  5:30 pm, we welcome the Hendrix College Chapel Choir, who will be joining our own choir in a service of Solemn Evensong.  This service will be followed by concert by our old friend, Thomas Alexander.
If you've not been to an evensong before, it is truly one of the greatest gifts that the Anglican church has given to the world.  It is a transcendent and eternal choral service that has gone virtually unchanged since 1662.  The service is sung almost entirely by the choir, so it is a wonderful opportunity to allow the beauty of the texts and liturgy to simply wash over you.  This simple service is a wonderful, prayerful way to close the day, and begin a new week.
We will sing music of Charles Wood, Moses Hogan, and William Smith.
The service is followed by a short organ recital, played by Thomas Alexander, and a reception.

Please note that this week's bulletins will all be larger print, but on the smaller bulletin sized paper.

Please pick up a Responding to Hurricane Harvey Flyer in the Narthex.

The church office is in need of a Monday afternoon volunteer starting Sept. 11, 2017. If you are interest please contact the office.
Thank you.

Have you seen our tablecloths?
We are missing 6 round tablecloths. If you have them please return them to the kitchen. If you know where they are please contact the church office.
Thank you.
