AGC MA awarded first place in AGC's 2016 National AGC Awards (NASA)
AGC MA was recently awarded first place in NASA within the category for Chapters with 100-200 General Contracting Members.
The AGC Chapter Safety Awards are based on a weighted average of participation and overall incidence rate of the Chapter's general contract members.

50 CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES UNITE TO SERVE HOMELESS FAMILIES 3rd Annual AGC MA Service Day to Benefit St. Mary's Center for Women and Children
On Friday, May 19th for the third year in a row, more than 100 volunteers and
50 companies representing the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC MA) returned to St. Mary's Center for Women and Children to repair and enhance the Dorchester campus.

AGC MA Testifies with Industry Allies in Support of House Bill 1722 - "An Act to Preserve the Integrity of the State Building Code"
At the same 6/12 hearing, AGC MA joined several industry allies - NAIOP, GBREB, BOMA, BSA, ACEC, ASM - and the Mass. Homebuilders in support of a bill that would require a vote of the Legislature before any amendment to the State Building Code submitted by any local municipality to the BBRS can be considered. The industry testified vigorously against the adoption of local amendments to the state building code as a blow to the 1974 adoption of a uniform and streamlined code recent local attempts. Even BBRS Chairman Richard Crowley testified in support of the bill.
AGC MA Joins with Coalition of Public and Private Owners to Oppose ASM Indemnity Bill
On 5/2, AGC MA joined a coalition of public and private Owner groups to testify in opposition to ASM's Indemnity legislation (House Bill 2369) at a public hearing before the Joint Committee on Labor & Workforce Development.

AGC MA Delegation Meets with Senate Staff Against ASM Indemnity Bill
On 5/31, Bob Lizza (Consigli), Brad Gordon (Gilbane), Patrick Huntington (AGC MA Lobbyist), and (Bob Petrucelli (AGC MA) met with Staff of Senator Jason Lewis (D-Winchester), Senate Chair of the Committee on Labor & Workforce Development, to discuss our concerns with ASM's Indemnity bill.
