Update from the Head of School

Good Evening,

Thank you for your patience this week with the aftermath of the storm. Our team worked hard to clear the school in order to provide a safe environment for the students, faculty and staff.  Thank you to all who worked to remove the snow

and manage the communication. There are some terrific photos from the storm in this week's Spartan pride section.

From the Desk of Dr. Ann

This week I came across some very clever advertisements that were created in Mrs. Renzi's Gr. 6 classes. These were advertisements that encouraged new students to attend the Marian Division at St. Mary's. Students worked in small groups of three to sort out their ideas and make use of their own talents. The ads represent a new emphasis in the Massachusetts Common Core on Informational Literacy. Good work Gr 6 students! Be sure to check out this slideshow of ads - also featured in last week's blog.

Thursday afternoon the Marian students exchanged Valentine's in homeroom and then watched wonderful performances by the dance team and gymnast/senior Samantha Nelson. Samantha is headed to the University of Arkansas next year on Athletic scholarship, and she showed off Students then headed to the dance floor with music provided by Junior Bradley Dill.

Thank you to all the performers, the Student Council, Jade Cipolla and Mrs. Buckley for making Thursday's event a success!  A special thank you to all parents that donated food. Be sure to check out www.facebook.com/smhlynn over the weekend for more photos and videos!
