The Parson's Nose Productions presents two remarkably relevant readings this weekend: "Quality" by John Galsworthy (Forsyte Saga) and "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift (Gulliver's Travels).
In John Galsworthy's "Quality" presented by James Calvert, the English novelist Galsworthy tells the tale of a young man's dilemma. The old boot-makers' work is so fine that it wears forever. Progress? Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" is presented by Lance Davis. The Irish satirist Swift (Gulliver's Travels) offers a wickedly ingenious solution to the problems of hunger and overpopulation in his homeland.
The two "Pay-What-You-Will" readings include a Saturday Soiree at 7:00pm on March 17, and a Sunday Matinee at 2:00pm on March 18. Ages 11+ suggested. All events last approximately one hour.
